Yes it is possible, but there is no defined "maximum". Your water requirements change from day to day depending on what you are eating and doing in the way of activity. Its possible to sweat out as much as a gallon during two hours of hard exercise on a hot day. On the other hand, sitting in front of the TV all day, you might not need any water other than what you get via food, coffee, milk and soft drinks.

Yes, you can drink too much water. You can actually drown yourself if you drink too much. I'm not sure of the maximum amount, but unless you are constantly drinking water (24/7), I think you will be okay.

If you drink enormous amounts of water and then DO NOT urinate, yes you can die of water intoxication. The woman in the radio show actually died not because of too much water but because she drank to much and was not allowed to go urinate. The actual condition is called Hyponatremia. There are certain individuals whose water ratio is too high (such as athletes in training) and they have died of Hyponatremia. Just be careful and make sure that if you begin to feel strange or feel faint- get to a hospital.

Water is not bad for you if you drink moderately. Is not like your going to drink 2 gallons of water in an hour. I drink 96oz of water a day. I have a Starbucks bottle and thats how I know how much water I drink a day.

Yes, drinking too much water can be dangerous and is a risk that you probably don't want to take.
Your body often can't dilute the liquid quickly enough, so drinking too much water, especially at once, will be harmful.
8 glasses a day is recommended. It keeps you healthy, but isn't "too much".

A few people have, but there's probably 1000 people who have problems with dehydration for every one who drinks too much water.
For the average person, as long as you drink a gatorade or eat something to replace the salts, you'll be fine.

Yes you can, drink too much and you can actually die from over hydration. The easiest way to tell if your drinking enough water is to make sure that your urine is clear, or almost clear.

yes and it can kill you like that lady about two months ago in a radio contest. She drank about 2 gallons. If you are in the desert and you are drying out you will need to drink a lot. It depends on where you live.
