Not sure how much it would cost in Dallas to rent, but I would suggest renting them when you get here.

There are numerous places that will rent them, including some of the resorts. If you get them in Denver, it can run you from 20-40 a day depending on what you rent out.

In the end, its probably more convienent to rent here. You dont have to worry about transportation through the air, and dealing with them in an airport.

Usually renting skis at or near the ski resort is the best option. Normally they rent by the day and some ski shops offer a free day if you rent them 3-4 consecutive days! Generally they run about $25 a day and that will include boots and poles. However, if you are a good intermediate or expert skier you can also rent a high performance ski "package" deal or demo skis for about $5-10 a day additional.

Unless you own a ski bag you'll have to buy one to transport the skis, unless of course you're driving and are planning on using a roof rack or just tossing them in your vehicle. Price to rent runs about $20-30 daily. Renting in Colorado you generally get good quality and well tuned equipment. I'd consider renting near the ski area in case your boots don't work out or some other problem occurs. It's easy to bring it in and get it taken care of.
