100 % yes !!!!!!
my sister as a child couldn't even be in the same room with anything made from pea nuts , just the smell was enough to make her deathly sick . now at age 40 it's so bad anything with
peanut oil in it is enough to send her into shock . like peanut butter , cookies

Yes it is. There have been schools that quit using peanut products and foods when students with peanut allergies came into it. The news has reported of people who react just as you question. I am thankful that I do not have a peanut allergy, because they are seemingly everywhere. Plus I like them, especially in candy.

Yes, because of the peanut dust that may circulate in the room. You could also have the peanut dust on your hands when you touch a doorknob or sink handle or something with which that person would come into contact.

maybe, with people with severe reactions to peanuts, if they take a whiff of the peanut dust, might just be enough.
the whole allergy to peanut thingy is quite serious with some people.

yes. it is possible... there is a girl at my school who has alergies to them and when she smelled them she started to have a really bad reaction when she did... somebody was eating them near her. it was i guess really strong.. now when she's in class no one can eat things things that have nuts in them or peanut oil. (maybe) this way she wouldn't have this reaction again... she did go into shock

It is possible, but relatively rare for a reaction to be this strong. Remember though, if you can smell the item, you are inhaling molecules of the item.

Yes you can. I have a yeast allergy. If I put the right piece of bread in my mouth, not swallow. My throat goes completely closed. It is frightening.
