If you can, get some zicam swabs. They're like q-tips with jell and you just swab the inside of your nostrils several times a day. They drastically shorten the duration of a cold.
However, if you're stuck at home, make sure you drink lots of fluids. This helps to flush the virus out. Rest is extremely important so kick back, drink plenty of fluids, take some tylenol or advil for the aches and pains. I hope you feel better soon!

Your headache is most likely a sinus headache (even if not felt in the sinuses) your body is working hard and you have a build up of mucus that's building pressure and contributing to your headache - pick up some MUSINEX (over the counter) and it'll break up that mucus and relieve your headache - you should notice a considerable difference after 30-45 min!

Chicken soup and orange juice are the best things to eat and drink. Have you tried a hot tea? These are my favorite because they really sooth your throat and clear your sinuses (they help with my headaches too).

Make sure you're getting enough sleep (even a nap when you get off work can make a world of a difference) so your body can heal.

FEEL BETTER!

Feed a cold, starve a fever. Eat what you can in little amounts to keep your strength up. More importantly, drink lots of liquids - water, herbal tea, and the like. Feel better soon.
