In addition to the small clock on the bottom right of my task bar, I would like to have a stylish, but 'different'/'unusual' type of clock, on permanent view on my Desktop and also have it on permanent view when I use Word or indeed any program (programme).
How do I do this?

You can download Yahoo! Widget from yahoo. Then add Analog Clock widget and put it on desktop. You can change the skin color or customize it to any way you want. Also you can download lot more cool stuff.

Desktop sidebar has a clock module built in analogue or digital format. The bar stays visible when other programs are running.
The side bar has many other features and is freeware. Worth a look.
