Please understand first that the Bible never states that the world will end. All that will end is the evil system that currently governs this planet.
Isaiah 41:25 refers to King Cyrus, who was brought from the North to conquer the Babylonians, who had conquered Jerusalem and Judah, and taken the Jews captive. The 'north' is included in the prophecy because the Persians conquered the lands north of Babylon before invading her borders. This prophecy does not refer to the time of the end. Isaiah 41 is notable to scholars because it lists God's 14 "I wills" (I will strengthen you; I will help you; etc.) In order to accomplish these "I wills," God anointed King Cyrus, even though he was a Gentile, to perform a great work for the Jews: he gave them permission to go back to the promised land and rebuild their Temple.
Isaiah 14 pertains to Satan and his counterfeit son, the Antichrist. Satan is quoted as speaking 5 "I wills" within his portion of this Scripture. However, Isaiah 14 doesn't directly pertain to the end times; it pertains to the downfall of Satan and his production of a false Trinity.
Daniel 11:40-12:2 pertains to the Antichrist, the "false son" in Satan's false Trinity. The angel described to Daniel a confederation of kings coming against the Antichrist, with a battle in and near the Holy Land.
Prophetically speaking, it's difficult to precisely identify the peoples mentioned. The king of the South may be Egypt or represent the Arab community. The king of the North may be the Antichrist's empire (as the "new Antiochus Epiphanes") or it may be Russia. We simply cannot know at this point in history. All we do know is that the end of the Tribulation will be marked by great conflict, culminating in the world's armies gathering at the Promised Land to do final battle.
And then Jesus will return to save His people, the Jews.

Satan stated his ambition to "sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north"
The points of the compass have significance in prophetic passages such as this one.
In case you never noticed, God seems to do everything according to the pattern of his throne as seen in Ezekiel 1 and Revelation 4.
The four areas alluded to in Genesis 2 are the key to understanding the nature of the four directions. West is Eden, North is Havilah (where there is Gold [big clue!]), South is Ethiopia, East is Assyria.
Chronologically speaking, North is the direction that refers to the Kingdom age. Thus the ambition of Satan is to be "like the most high" and "sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north", i.e. in the fourth and final age appointed to this earth.
Don't be confused about the "end of the world". The word "world" is often the KJV translation of the word "eon" which infers a period of time, it is not to be taken to mean the planet. You may be looking at a prophecy concerning the end of the age.
Also, don't assume that exponential constancy is as constant as many would like you to believe. Idioms often have no metaphoric significance whatsoever. This is when it helps to be a sincere hearer of the Word. If you're a dishonest researcher intentionally trying to twist the scripture, you'll never come to a knowledge of the truth.
The reference to a military power coming from the North could simply be referring to Gog or Magog, Tubal or Meshec, and have no metaphor involved whatsoever.
As far as the "King of the south" goes, it also refers simply to the direction and has no sybolic meaning.

God is referred to living in the North. It is possible he means in the direction north of the earth, above the universe, is where he resides.
Satan wanted to go to that general area, and have meetings, to resemble God, and take his angels and his glory. But Satan is a false God and was kicked out of heaven.
Most people think Daniel 11 refers to the kings of the earth. Daniel 11:27 says these 2 kings are inclined to do bad, so it could not be Jesus and Satan here.
Isaiah 41:25 could be talking about Jesus, who is at God's right hand until the time of restoration of all things.

It's nice that you're interested in the end times, but personally, I know the end times will come however and when ever God wants them to come. In the mean time, I'm more interested about having faith in Jesus, the most important part of the story, and I want to focus on keeping people from being left behind during the end times. I have an interest in the end times myself, but that's not my first priority of understanding the Bible. If God meant this person to be from the far north, then that's where they'll come from, if they are meant to come just north of Israel, that's where they'll come from. We'll see when he gets here, I'm glad you are so interested in the Bible though. Thanks for reading and have a nice day. God bless.

I think you should stop worrying about when and how it will go down and get close to Jesus. The New Testament spends far far more time telling us to not worry than it does about when the end will come.
It is far more importatn to draw close and get your life in order and be ready every day as if tomorrow is the day of His return.
