Only two insects are listed on the Florida state list of Endangered, Threatened and Special Concern species (at least as of 2004). Both are considered Endangered.

- Miami blue butterfly (Cyclargus thomasi bethunebakeri)

- Schaus' swallowtail butterfly (Heraclides aristodemus ponceanus).

The Schaus' swallowtail is listed as Endangered with the US Fish and Wildlife Service, as well as on the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission list.
