yes. Jesus was a real man, he was known in many areas of the world, archaeological evidence suggests this.
And through fictitiously embellished writings of followers and acquaintances, has become a household name today.

Two part answer:
Was he real? Maybe. There seems to be a lot of writing
from difference sources indicating that someone caused
a lot of religious fervor at the time he lived.
Is he real now? That is - does he live in all men, etc.
Who knows? And for that matter, how would you prove it?
