now, the bible tells you not to believe in the paranoral...correct?

Well, How can you disprove something that has more evidence, than that of your religion??? perhaps because in those days whichcraft and magic, freaked them all out???

Seems to me, the bible has covered it's back really well, if something doesn't make sense, it tells us that's ok, because it's not the same logic we use on earth.....there's an answer for everything and if all else fails,... well theres always that handy little one liner "go to hell!"

it would be lovely sometimes if you said "d'ya know what....I really don't know, what that means or why that is!" Maybe we're not supposed to know it all??

Your statement 'the bible tells you not to believe in the paranormal' is incorrect. The actual statement would be not to believe in the occult. And there are many reasons why someone should separate themselves from the occult. For one, it is a temptation. If you think the answer to everything is in your horoscopes, a fortune teller or someone who'll help you talk with a dead relative you are being tempted. This leads to the second point, idolatry. Your idol does not have to be a statue, your idol is something you hold dear to your heart. And if you hold horoscopes dear to your heart and you worship it, it is idolatry. The point is, if you fall prey to some of these so called 'paranormal' activities, it keeps you from searching and finding the truth.

It is not a matter of people freaking out in the presense of magic and witchcraft. Afterall, Jesus himself performed feats people could call witchcraft or magic. In fact, what people can call paranormal is throughout both the old and new testament. Examples include, Moses parting the Sea, turning the Nile into blood. Jesus raising the dead, and raising up from the grave myself, healing the sick.

Have you ever consider, that it is absolutely possible for the paranormal to be manifestations of the holy ghost or the devil? The common misconception is, that God and Satan are passive today and things happening that may seem odd to us has nothing to do with them. But they are in fact, as active today as ever.

I'm a Christian who will not pretend to know the answer to everything. In fact, faith is a word that implies 'lack of evidence'. After all, if I can prove God exists without any doubt, why would I need to believe He exists? I'd just know. For me, I believe because I see evidence that suggests most probable, there is God. One such probable evidence is in astronomy and origin of the universe theories. Check out the link I've provided.

I think you're falling into the school of thought that science and faith cannot co-exist. Meaning, if you believe in the scientific method, you cannot be a spiritual faithful person. In actuality, they work perfectly together. Science exists with hints of faith, and vice versa. In order for me to believe, I need some kind of science, just feeling it isn't enough. And in order for science to advance, scientists must often put forth theories which are then tested. Theories are simply ideas the scientist believes or has faith in, that would be proven correct.

Understand that science is an art of observation. While we use science to help us explain how things work, like gravity, electricity, and mathematics. What science does not answer is, why? It is possible for God to create the world, and play around with it, while our scientists are trying to make sense of things by observation. I encourage you to read and listen to the linked material for an example of where science is actually proving the existence of God.

The paranormal and the spiritual realm (where morality isssuing from "God" is the central focus) are not the same thing.
The "Holy Spirit" is a christianized form of what Judaism refers to as the Ruach ha Kodesh, translated as God's (spirit of) Holiness, which is not recognized as a being but as a condition of God's being, by Judaism, which inspires Man to do good and shun evil according to how God defines it.
Witchcraft and sorcery in the ancient world often included thorough knowledge of poisons and how to use/misuse them. A poisoner was often considered a witch/sorceror.
In Judaism, it was incumbent upon the Hebrew people to not only forbid a sorceror to practice their craft as a living, but to help that person learn an acceptable alternative skill to make their living. (within the borders of the land of Israel).
If what you call the paranormal is better expressed as the spiritual world,I wish to say that it is IMPOSSIBLE for us to prove that it does NOT exist, partly because we cannot apply material world systems of perception and measurement to it. Therefore, we must allow that there is the possibility that a spiritual world exists, but our normal abilities to perceive it are not equal to the task.

Saul was able to get in touch with Samuel who had been dead. There is no part in the Bible that says do not believe in the paranormal. Even God in Deuteronomy told his people not to listen (it's different from not believing) to the diviners or the fortune tellers for if what they say will come true, then the tendency is for people to put his trust in the diviners and not from himself and from God's grace. That is just it. Only the Church would say do not believe but not God. God only said do not listen because He does not want the people to depend on what other will tell them but on your own ability to make your own destiny otherwise it will defeat the purpose of the Free Will He gave us.

You couldn't be more wrong!
The bible does not say anywhere to not believe in the paranormal. If anything the bible speaks of it as being real! The bible says have nothing to do with witchcraft, not because it isn't real but because the source of power behind it comes from satan.
In Ephesians chapter 6, the bible talks about how we do not struggle with flesh and blood(people) but with powers and principalities in the heavenly realms(I believe this is what you would refer to as paranormal)
the term paranormal describes "any phenomenon that in one or more respects exceeds the limits of what is deemed physically possible according to current scientific assumptions...WIKPEDIA
So using that definition, for one to believe in the bible, who the bible represents, to believe the whole shin-dig.....is to believe in the paranormal.

In correct

The Bible says that the spirtiual world/the paranormal does exist
It says that magic is evil and that there is no such thing as white magic. It says that we should not visit future-tellers and ppl like that cos they use the devil's powers. They call aup demons not past realtives or what ever.

It says that God is real and that their are heavenly creatures such as angels and other creatures of whom i do not know how to spell the names.

your premise is incorrect. The Bible warns about the powers of this world and to resist them.
