I work out Mon-Friday, I start at 4:45 till 5:15 or 5:20pm every day after work. I am not dieting, but I am watching what I eat and how much I eat. I am no longer drinking any thing except green tea and water. I drink alot of water! I have noticed my stamina being longer in the sense that on the elliptical I last for 15 min. compared to the 6 min that I was doing when I started. My work out consists of 15 min, elliptcal, 10 min biking, and 5 to 10 min . doing weights, mainly legs and arm lifting. And about 50 ab crunches.I have never worked out a day in my life, until now today is my 3rd wk anniversary and I feel like I am not doing enough I know my skin looks great and I feel slimmer around my face but is this enough? Why am I not losing inches around my waist?

You are doing GREAT!!! you have made a decision to eat healthier and are sticking to it. Be patient, it may take a bit longer for you to see results. Try working up to a little more crunches and make sure that you are doing them right. Some people don't do them right and wonder why they see no results. Also you mentioned that you are not dieting, you should strongly consider changing what you eat. if you work out a lot and drink tea and water, but eat bad foods than it may be what is stopping you from loosing weight faster. good luck!

I would suggest jogging or maybe some jump rope. Jogging is the best way I know to lose weight around the midsection.

Start out jogging in a slow and manageable pace, don't try to run a marathon. Start out for a few minutes a day and every week add on a few more minutes. If you combine this with what you're already doing, you can't go wrong!

Also make sure you are running correctly! You don't want to risk getting injuries that can impede your ability to walk.

You are doing pretty good, though you should probably be doing cardio for a bit longer... try aiming for an hour. Also, it's only been three weeks. You don't lose inches in three weeks. Especially if you are close to the size you want to be, it is difficult to get rid of extra inches. It takes time and dedication to the excersizing. The fact that you are getting any visible results at three weeks is actually pretty good, especially since you're not actually excersizing that much. Try a month at least, though two is ideal, before you pass judgement on your routine.

this is normal. your body takes a few weeks to get adjusted to exercising. in a while you will notice that you are dropping pounds and your waist is getting trimmer. you are also building muscle, muscle weighs more than fat, but if you have lean muscle you look slimmer than a person who is super skinny but doesn't work out because they have no muscle. you're doing great. continue with your workout and you will see results in just a while longer.

thats great you can last longer...but you still probably aren't doing enough, your body takes about 20 minutes to really get warmed up...(says a kickboxing instructor I had), do you have access to a treadmill? try walking on a treadmill for an hour, bring a magazine, slow down if you have to...but i would work on trying to increase your cardio a little bit more..keep up the good work!

your body will choose where it loses/gains weight first

like you said though you are just beginning and so wouldnt really be seeing all that much improvements just yet

make sure you put effort into every workout though as there is not perfect workout but the results you see are a direct correlation of the effort you put in

How long have you been working out? You have to give it time. Keep doing what you are doing (don't give up) eventually you will get the results that you are looking for.

You may need to target your workout to your waistline. Ab exercises sometimes increase the measurement of the waist at first, although the stomach looks flatter.

Maybe you should have your thyroid checked.

It sounds like you are doing great exercise-wise.
