You almost certainly own a forgery/copy, I'm sorry to say. It may have originally sold for somewhere between $210 and $1295 but to original art collectors, it is effectively worthless since it misrepresents itself as an original. If you have paperwork on it to say where it came from, and if you can authenticate with the artist, then it's probably worth in the high 5 figures (based on the vast secondary market for copies of Cozzi's works).

I would not totally rule it as a fake. I bought a O'Keffe from a collectors estate for next to nothing becuase the idiots running the sale thought it was just a dirty old canvas. Another they thought was a print!!!! On the back was the paper work. I got it for THREE DOLLARS... Man did I run out of there. They were all in a tiss over the missing okeeffe too. The guy had everything catalogued. He as a great collector too. I stood in line and expected to have to pay a fortune for this stuff and when they had the discussion on how much to charge me I nearly peed my pants!

I also know a home in Terrell Texas that has a real picasso in it. Brought back a long time ago before the guy was known. So you NEVER KNOW. There are serveral pieces of art that were bought when the familys there were rich and the grandkids are stupid. I bought tiffany christmas bulbs for .50 each once!!!

I also NEVER buy anything but real paintings. I have a great collection that will surpise my children when they divide up my estate.
