Well one plain and simple reason I think of is that men on average have a more muscular body build since by nature they are the hunters and protectors.

This is how it started at least. No telling what kind of reasons there are now.

because in the Medical Field we are normally weaker physically, and we are not formed from birth not to show or emotions. We are hormonal and there is no way to stop the changes that happen to our bodies. Yet we can strengthen our bodies to do a job that a strong man does but we also break bones easier because of the lose of bone due to hormones and child birth. Also I worked in the mans field in a warehouse to provide for a daughter that a X husband wouldn't support ; however, working 16 to 22 hours a day or 70 or more hours a week doing this wore out my hands and back, shoulders, my womb and bladder dropped, etc.... My body is permanently damaged from trying to do this over working, picking up heavy items for years and not sleeping. I use to look pretty good for my age now I have to eat a different diet and find a place to swim for and find all low impact exercises so I can become fit again. Because I look like crap now and depression set in when my life was changed for good. So you can get a good education extended from High school and a couple semesters of College, because it did not work for me I ended up messed up. I thought because I had three brothers that I could do just as they did. I did a lot like change the oil in my on vehicles and maintenance. If I could read it and fix it or try to figure it out I would complete the project. I also helped everyone. Guess what no one helps me now and I live on S.S. Disability and no one does anything for me and I have to a pay my family to do anything for me. You talk about being the weaker sex, we can do anything they do but we will pay dearly. So don't think you can lift etc... without paying for it years down the road. Get a college education with more than four years, if possible so you can have a nice life and afford to hire men to do the things that will kill your body.

I am sure some man must have said so. Because they might have made a weight lifting as standard to declare so. Had they declared child birth as standadrd, they must have lost. Though i am a male but i do not support this statement that women are weaker sex. In some areas woman is weak but at the same time there are some areas where man is weaker than a woman.

WOW! What a great question.. I have thought about that quite often and I do not have an answer either.. I feel that women are the stronger sex, they give birth, have cramps, and are better under stressfull situations than men are, so I see women as the stronger sex by far..

Tell me too!!! We are so strong in the home and at work. Single, married, or single mothers... we multi-task and have more patience and love more and handle more than most men I know! I don't get easily distracted by a set of boobs! Yet, we're labeled weak??? I refuse to believe that anymore.

Because women are generally not as strong as men. Literally. In general, men are bigger, stronger, and faster than women.

It is true that women give birth, go through cramps, etc. However, in the past it was men that went out and killed things for dinner, spent the day lifting heavy things to build things and make money, and put their lives on the line for their family. Men traditionally take greater risks, brave greater dangers first, and sacrifice themselves for their mates and children.

In the grand scheme of things, men are more disposable than women and biology bears this out.

I think it has more to do with physical strength than anything else. That's just the way we are made. Men were meant to be laborers and women were meant to be nurturers. It all part of nature.
It doesn't mean that we are weak in everything. I think that we as women can tolerate more pain and if you think about it, sexually we can control men who are weak with our touch, looks and smells.

women aren't weaker in reality, and in know way are they "by far" stronger. Men for centuries have dominated the world most likely for a few reasons. A)While you are pregnant, do we expect you to go out and fight wars? B)When something is physically demanding that you are not capable of doing (such as lifting) who is the first in a group of men and women, who do you ask for help first?

And don't forget women are lowered in almost every religion out their.

Women are the ones often targeted (often successfully) for rape and robery.

and physically speaking, unless they are them scary chicks that muscle build to look like Swortzinager (spelling?), they are usually physically weaker then males.

it doesn't make us any better. but we are a bit stronger, in that reguard.

You can only control the way you think about yourself, once you know who you are what you are capable of, act like it, and you will see how the world changes it's way of looking at women.
