I want both sides of the story. I would also like a good website for the dead sea scrolls.

LOL...what both sides.

The apostles who began the church after Jesus died were the first Christians. Possibly Mary, the mother of Jesus and Mary Magdalene were also. Its likely the the brothers and sisters of Jesus were, as well as their families.

DON'T PANIC!!!

The history of the Christian church is very complex. There are many timelines online that can give you visual and factual representations of the Early Christian church. The Church was started by Jesus and the Apostles and continued expanding since the early years after his death. Explaining this would be impossible without going through a long involved historical diatribe I will give you a link to the Wikipedia article on the topic. Christianity has undergone many splits throughout the years as reflected in the visual representation of the timeline. The most important of these is the split between the Eastern Catholic Church and what if now the Roman (Western) Catholic church. This led to many other splits and off shoots including the Protestant movement. The history is really quite fascinating. You may also want to check out the history of different Orthodox churches as their own differences are complex and although similar, help represent the many changes that the religion has gone through since its inception. There are disputes between these churches as to which are the "true" faith.
