I just ate some store bought button mushrooms that tasted like ammonia. Am I going to be sick???? I only had 3 of them and came straight to the internet to search about this ammonia taste.

Mushrooms absorb liquids like a sponge. One ammonia-like liquid springs to mind. I think someone urinated on your mushrooms.

I don't think u r sick some mushrooms have different tastes to them

I eat a lot of store bought mushrooms, and if they feel slimey when I take them out of the package, I toss the whole package. I don' know if they will make you sick.

if you start tripping then you've got a free buzz!!! But seriously id take em back to the store that you bought em from and get them to try one and see what they say. Play on the fact that you feel really ill and you might get some store vouchers or even free shopping !!
