Actually, it would be the Holy Ghost that they were possessed by. Somehow, it's wrong to have PRE-CHRISTIAN Gods possess you, as is the case with Vodoun, but not wrong to have the Christian God possess you, in the form of some Holy phantom. I don't understand it myself.

Share this with somebody who already has this understanding, as reinforcement. But more importantly, share this with those who do not have a clear understanding of what it means to be a Christian, so that the myth that Christians think they are "perfect" or "better than others"can be dispelled.

"Posessed" implies that you aren't in control of your body. You're posessed by your mind... o.O
