Is she showing that she is more dominatnt than me? That 's what my husband believes. I wish I could talk to Cesar Milan. I thought dogs lost those senstaions when they became spay.

She is just asserting her dominance over you (sorry, but hubby is right). Next time that she does it firmly grab the skin on the back of her neck and yell NO! If that does not help you may need to consult a canine behaviorist before the problem gets worse.

She is attempting to show dominance, and you just have to show her who's really boss. Since she's in a new situation, she's just testing you to see where she ranks in the family (or pack). Like the other person said, reprimand her with a firm "No!" the instant she does it.

It has nothing to do with being spayed or not. Even if the dog was male, neutered or not, it's about dominance, not sex.

Some dogs don't do it out of dominance, some just do it when they get excited. Not sexually excited, just playful excited. Its kinda like not really knowing how to play, and interpreting this as playing. My daughter's dog does this to almost everyone who plays with her. Our male dog use to hump our female (yes, they were both fixed), whenever I got my shoes on to take them for a walk in the woods. He got excited, he humped, and she was always the alpha.

She's trying to assert herself as leader of your house, and if you continue to let her do that she will assume that role. Grabbing her by the back of the next and holding her on the ground for a couple seconds(NOT hard)should correct the problem fairly quickly :)
