Well, according to the Bible, Adam and Eve were the first to receive free will. Because they ate fruit from the tree, when they were not supposed to. If we (as humans) were not the first to have free will, then the bible would have said so, and it would have been written a little different. So in answer to your question, yes.

According to the Bible (Genesis) we were the first living organisms to have a free will and be able to do as we please right here ON EARTH.

Nobody can tell whether of not we were the first in the Universe. And in fact, there are chances that we were not. Why should we be?

Man is constantly worried by his arrogance. We always pretend to be the best in the Universe and that n actual life can exist which is not like ours.

But, the actual truth is that this is nothing but wishful thinking on our side. We know very little, if anything, of what is going on in the rest of the Universe. And our proud Earth is nothing but a small boat navigating in an immense ocean of unknown enormous cruisers...

YES, WHY NOT?---There is no matter of trying out anything of the kind,-- YOU THINK that he has not taken action and will not take more action against those who ABUSE free will?

(Romans 2:3-9) “3 But do you have this idea, O man, while you judge those who practice such things and yet you do them, that you will escape the judgment of God? 4 OR DO YOU DESPISE THE RICHNESS (my caps)of his kindness and forbearance and long-suffering, because you do not know that the kindly [quality] of God is trying to lead you to repentance? 5 But according to your hardness and unrepentant heart you are storing up wrath for yourself on the day of wrath and of the revealing of God’s righteous judgment. 6AND HE WILL RENDER to each one according to his works: 7 everlasting life to those who are seeking glory and honor and incorruptibleness by endurance in work that is good; 8 however, for those who are contentious and who disobey the truth but obey unrighteousness there will be wrath and anger, 9 tribulation and distress, upon the soul of every man who works what is injurious, of the Jew first and also of the Greek;”

DESPISE YOUR LIFE AWAY --if you so want, BUT KEEP IN MIND Jehovah God's track record of dealing with those who had contempt for his qualities

--1 ) The obscene perveverts of Sodom & Gommorah,!-
- 2). Pharoah & the harsh lesson he learned as he lost his first born & his great army
--3. The Cannanites and their stubborn refusal to stop their obscenities as the Israelites marched through to the pomised land!. etc. etc.
--4.AND the severe punishment upon the Israelites who saw all the marvelous interventions of God and still became worse than the nations!

--WOULD YOU RATHER--be a robot, a wind up toy, a computer? OR as the song goes "......WOULD YOU RATHER BE A FISH......?"

--What, you do not like to make the decision to what you will eat, and who you might date, or when to go to sleep?

----WHY NOT TRY THINKING A LITTLE---Before you post your silliness!--OR IS that what you want to appear as?

Looks like he gave free will to the highest of the angels. Not sure if they qualify as organisms though.

Angels were originally given free will. Satan used to be an angel. He was jealous of God and he rebelled. That was the result of his free will. He was kicked out of heaven, along with his followers, and given dominion over hell. And God took free will away from the angels.

According to Islamic teachings, the heavens and the earth were asked the bear the responsibility of free will, but all creatures refused to accept it except for man (the holy Quran chapter 33, verse 72).

Man is described as being "unjust to himself" and "ignorant" for accepting this responsibility. (same verse)

It is not a matter that there are organisms before us, the whole of God's creation past and present, refused to accept the responsibility of free will, but alas man did.

Obviously, you've never had a cat.

Edit: Nova, honey, unless Adam and Eve were something other than humans (like lower primates, perhaps) they do not qualify as a different organism.

God gave free will to the angels too.

Unclear

Unclear if he's done it since then, although that could explain why he isn't around much burning bushes and talking to people and making their black hair white!
