The Jewish people dont believe Jesus is the son of God and the Muslims believe God has no sons. The Muslims say that the Torah is the book of Allah but back that up with the Quran the book of muhammed. Now I have studied this today at some depth. The fact is the Muslims think te Torah was corrupted by the Jews and the Jews think the Quran is corrupted by the Arabian interpreters who wrote it bacause Muhamme was illiterate and it was writtenin sections and then re written and hey dont believe in itas it may have been corrupted. And apart from this there is no proof Muhhamedwas the mossiah.
The ignorance of religion astounds. Does anybody believe there will everbe a solution to this religous squable that kills hundreds of thousands.

Black Hoe Gravity,
I pay taxes and they have been spent on killing people on the other side of the world because two diffrent set of religions cant agree on a couple of 2000 year old books. That is totalyuaceptable and any God would do something to stop it as they all say they arefighting in thesame gods name. Though its spelt diffrently.

Jibril E,
The quran was written in various forms right after muhhameds deat. It was thenrecompile with allother copie being destroyed two years after his death. Have you got the memory to remember everything word for word after two years and the more people trying to remembe the more discussion you will get over what was said two years ago and how totranslate that into Arabic.

Zombie2Wolf,
After all I have found outtoday from Islamic websites how can you stand bywhat you say. The books have all been re-written and the true ords have beenaltered across the board. And God asnt come down to resolve he problem and unite his people. The fact is the Muslim and Jewish and Catholic problem oh and Protstants and Jehova Witneses and what who knows how many further subdivisions aswell as Buddist and Hindus cant agree on God. And God does nothing. He doesnt exist and thats why thousand die in his name.

I agree with you inter/faith peace needs to be achieved. I just wish they could achieve it in the correct way. God/Allah whatever you want to call nothing doesnt exist. For people to admit that would be for the best. If he did exist he has allowd factins to fight over is true word for 1600 years. Before that time he spoke a fair bit by all accounts. Did he just give up. Or does humanity need to give up this insanity and start working together as people in controll of their childrens possible destinies. That what makes athiests so unhappy. My children are going to grow up in a world of religous killers.

the Qur'an was compiled into one book within 2 years after the Prophet's death and memorized by thousands of his companions. There has never been disagreement about the text of the Qur'an amongst Muslims and it was open for everyone to read and memorize.
As for the torah, hardly anything is known abaout its history or who preserved it. In fact if one looks at the dead sea scrolls (often quoted by chrisitans and jews in support of biblical preservation), you will find that they are remarkably different, with deletions, additions, and alterations.
Clever, the various "Forms of the Qur'an" were various pronunciations; nothing more than that.

During the time the Quran was revealed over 1400 years ago, many of the people were illiterate, so it was more common for information and knowledge to be preserved through oral transmission, through speech. These people had remarkable memories because of that, and memorizing the Quran was even easier since it was recited daily throughout the mosques and homes on a collective scale. The verses were also preserved in physical form on paper to be studied and taught. As the news of a Prophet spread through the land, the teachings of Islam were being followed by an increasing number of people. In a mere 23 years, the Prophet's presence brought Islam to the whole Arabia, and people who had not even met the Prophet were converting when they heard the beauty and truth in the Qur'an recitals.
As these verses of the Qur'an were transmitted to the neighbouring Arab towns through oral recitation, the Quran being learnt was the same. However, when these neigbouring Arabs were physically preserving the Quran on paper, they would write in their own particular dialect so that they could study it for deeper meanings. This was a temporary phase which allowed these people to benefit from the knowledge in their personal copies of the Quran. Eventually, the original dialect of the Prophet (Quraish) was adopted by all the people and their personal copies destroyed to remove any doubt and clear all ambiguity.
The verses of the Qur'an were revelead to the Prophet over a 23 year period, and in the last years of the Prophet's life on earth, the Qur'an was arranged into the order it is in today by the Prophet under the supervision of the angel Gabriel. It is preserved letter for letter, and was transmitted orally by the whole muslim society, so it could not be tampered with as you might try with a physical book, as the Qur'an resided in the hearts and minds of thousands of muslims.
You will also find non-muslim historians who will attest to the perfect preservation of the Quran, it is a well documented fact and you can verify it yourself through reason.

Not a Messiah. The Holy Prophet Muhammad is not believed to be the Messiah.. but a true Prophet succeeding Mylord Moses, and Mylord Jesus and foretold by both the Old and the New Testaments. In Muslim Beliefs, both of his predecessors were highly exalted Humans and Holy Prophets. Moses and Jesus(in Arabic pronunciation) are popular names of Muslim children. Muslims are not permitted to compare or distinguish among The Prophets. Only Allah knows if one was any superior to the other.
The rest of the question is polemics. A reply would be a dissertation; too lengthy. Explanations possible if I may be contacted via Yahoo/Answers on email. This was a good question. Needs sober approach to study it further. InterFaith Peace is the need of the hour.

I think your question has been answered very well by other contributors, i have nothing new to say other than to correct you on two facts.
That the Prophet Mohammad(PBUH) is not the Messiah, he in his life time never claimed this to be nor any of the great Muslim scholars referred to him in this way. The messiah is a title reserved only for the Prophet Jesus (PBUH), all Muslims have always and will continue to testify to this fact.
Secondly
The Quran is absolutely capable of being memorised, from start to finish. people who successfully memorise it and learn it never ever forget it weather it is 2 years or 20 years. This is not made up it is actually being practised even today and will continue to do so. From the day the quran was revealed to this day not one word has been altered. Reason - God Himself has taken responsibility of its protection so that it cannot be corrupted like all of the other divine Scriptures have been. search any quranic text on the web or anywhere else and you will find the text between the two exactly the same. i cannot say the same for the bible or the Torah.

I only wanted to say that many many people memorize the entire content of the Quran- some of them children!!!! It is indeed possible, and the Arabs were famous in that age for their great memorization (although there are many who still to this day have memorized it). I dont know how you can say that there were all differant versions of the Quran, the only thing that changed was the little dashes above and below the letters, so that EVERY ARABIC DIALECT would pronounce the Quran Exactly the same.
We Do believe Jesus (pbuh) was the Messiah, and we believe that Mohammed pbuh- was the LAST prophet of God- to teach the pure message that there is Only ONE God- who has no partner at all, and no son.
There is a Sura in the Quran (Sura 109) which says: I worship not that which you worship, Nor will you worship that which I worship- to you be your way, and to me mine.
That seems to me to be the Best solution of all

Both the bible and the Torah have ben changed over generations as there are many different copies and people changeis to there liking but Allah made a promise to protect the qu'ran as all the others have been changed which is why it is the last book to have been made. When god createn adam he has a vision and he saw a throne which said on it.. "There is no God but God itself and Mohammed is prophet of God". Mohammed was the last prophet but there will be a false mossiah coming. in the qu'ran it says God is one which means he cant have a son and if he did have one wouldnt you think he would be alot better than us!but jesus washuman like the rest of us yes he did miracles but he wasnt doing them he asked Gods permission to do these miracles so even tho Jesus was a prophet he also sinned like we all do so no he is not the son of God.

Jews: are between the 12 tribes of Israel----have self assurance that they are God's chosen human beings. be counted on Tanakh, no longer in the recent testomony. have self assurance Messiah has no longer come yet. have self assurance God is holy and honest. Christians: made from Gentiles and Jewish converts. have self assurance the Tanakh (old testomony) and New testomony are God's Holy note. have self assurance Jesus has fulfilled the Messianic prophecies completely. look forward to His go back for the single thousand year reign. have self assurance that God the daddy, His Son, and The Holy Spirit are all holy. Muslims: have self assurance that the books of the Bible are in part real and in part pretend. Allah, their God, is termed "the fantastic of the deceivers". Muhammad is their major prophet. Jesus is a prophet. some Muslims have self assurance that Isa and Jesus are a similar and some do not. some have self assurance that the Madhi will come and set issues correct in the destiny. If Jews and Christians do not convert on the prompt, they should be killed. God has been blinded the Jews so Gentiles may nicely be presented to God. Jews will see that Jesus is Messiah earlier the accurate of the age. Jesus is the Messiah. Christians are kept by ability of religion in what Jesus has finished on the bypass. Jews are nevertheless stumbling over being kept by ability of works no longer by ability of religion in Jesus. Muslims were deceived like Eve and have self assurance his lies that the Bible is corrupted. by ability of blending actuality with lies, devil has deceived a multitude of Muslims. Muslims are kept from salvation by ability of no longer having faith in Jesus. Muslims actually have self assurance lies that Jesus did not die on the bypass yet replaced into removed from bypass earlier He died and replaced into replaced by ability of yet another human being so He might want to no longer be raised from the useless. God Bless

Ok first Muhammad(PBUH*) is not the Messiah. That's Isa(PBUH*). Prophet Muhammad(PBUH*) is just a man who showed Islam to Arabia and elevated the status of women in Arabia back in the 1400s from being treated like dogs to being diamonds and queens. As for the Qur'an. The Qur'an is the holy book of Muslims. We believe it is the word of ALLAH and the Torah and Bible were messed up by the idiot Catholics who decided it would be fun to make Isa(PBUH*) as God. Which isn't true.

In my opinion you can put all Religion down to one thing - Centuries of Chinese whispers. Which is why I don't believe as I can see each tale told becoming more grand each time it was told to someone different, human nature being as it is. Exaggeration abounds
