Really cute. You could add any sort of undersea scene or creature. Like star fish, and some sort of coral reef. I have seen some with sea turtles, and those colorful salt water fish. Maybe even a scuba diver flirting with the mermaid....Hope this helps...

I do agree that having her sitting on something could be a good idea - it would be more logical in terms of the overall design. I'd suggest maybe a shell (like the ones she's wearing as a bikini), because a rock could easily just end up looking like a blob.

I'd also say that maybe some sort of abstract watery swirls and bubbles in the background would help to pull everything together.

But I'd also suggest being open to your artist's suggestions - they're bound to have tons of good ideas.

Hope this helps, have fun getting tattooed!

i'd like to start by responding to baby cakes. first off, id like to say learn how to spell. LOOSE is something that is not tight, LOSE is to get rid of. and mind your business about what this girl looks like. she was not asking for you to comment on her weight, she was asking for opinions on her tattoo. don't be an idiot. it might be hard for someone like you, but try.

now, back to the subject at hand. i also think it would look awesome if you sat her on a rock. granted its making me think of the little mermaid with the under the sea scene, but that movie kicks so its all good.

its a very cute tattoo as is, but it does look like it needs something to ground it.

good luck!

I think you need water. I like each piece, but I think you need something to tie them all together, and make them "one piece"... Some kind of light blue shaded background, maybe that swirls... I love the hair on that mermaid, so cute.

you could have her sit on a huge rock surrounded by ocean water.

you could have her spashing some water playfully with her tail.

add a dolphin..also you could insert a coral reef....

i bet your artist has way more and better ideas than me...well..yeah cause he is an artist..lol...

good luck and cant wait to see what you did!!!!!!!

:)
