Sometimes I feel like I am about to faint, it happens when we have employee lunches or in meetings or lately when I am driving. My mom suggested counting to 3 over and over until it passes, but I get so afraid sometimes if I am driving I just want to pull over and park the car. I recently started taking an anti anxiety medicine, but I am still having attacks. I think I start getting the feeling then I get more anxiety thinking what will happen if I do faint and it gets worse. Is there anyone out there who has went through this and found a way to get rid of the feelings?

i have anxiety and on meds as needed...but that doesn't sound like anxiety to me...are you eating enough? getting enough carbs or sugars? i think you should call your doc back and tell him whats going on....or you could always go to a different doc...sometimes each one you go to will tell you something different

There is no relationship between stress at work and driving. I would suggest going to a heart specialist immediately and have a stress test performed on you. Physicians give out stress and mind altering drugs like candy these days, and I would stay away from most of those quacks as they will just screw up your brain even worse.
This could be a lucky break for you in that you may be prone to very mild palpitations (heart) or very mild strokes (pulmonary). This sounds a lot worse in writing than it really is especially if you are under 40 years old. It's all easily treated and nothing to worry about regarding mortality for many years to come. It may not be this at all, yet you want to catch that stuff early and not screw with it.
What worries me is that driving is not normally associated with the same type of stress as are interactions at work as people generally drive alone.
Of course if it's none of this, do what your mom says.
Good luck and I'm sure you are going to be just fine.

I suffer with anxiety/panic attacks and severely since New Year and I have that same faint sensation mine also comes with an aching sensation in my arm and tight feeling and pains in my chest which just makes the anxiety worse. If my method can work for me it should work for you. Inhale for 7 secs exhale for 8 I know this sounds ridiculous but it truly does work. In the case of driving I have found it works fantastically because I also get dizzy with my attacks. If this fails paper bags are brilliant and obviously not while you're driving but I swear by zen balls. At the end of the day its all in your head its not a medical problem as long as you have a distraction you can calm yourself zen balls are my thing you may find the same thing with something else reading, music, yoga whatever there's many different things I am shortly going to have a full body massage to relieve the tension in my shoulders as my attacks are pain related I do not know the reason of your attacks but a massage is still a good thing to do to ease anxiety.

I used to have frequent dizzy spells and found out that it was because I wasn't drinking enough water and I was dehydrated. You may find that if you increase the amount of plain water that you drink each day that you will feel a lot better.

If it really is anxiety and you are on medication, that means that you are talking to your doctor which is a great first step. Your doctor should have some great resources for you as well.

To me it sounds like your having an anxiety attack, then rolling it into a panic attack. Panic attacks can carry the symptoms you described. You also may want to do some research on SAD (Social Anxiety Disorder).

Have you had your ears checked?? You might actually have an inner ear infection. They cause you to feel faint and dizzy because it messes with your balance. Or, you could be on the wrong dosage of medication.

I've had a couple of attacks myself, and know people who had a lot more than me. I would make an appointment with a psychologist before this gets worse, which it can.

Go for a simple blood test to rule out anemia and hypoglycemia. This may have a biological cause.
