Could be your weight matches their Body Mass Index. They tell me my weight is fine also, but I see where I need some working out around the tummy area, and I feel better if I could weigh at least 10lbs less.My BMI says I can weigh up to 147 and I'm not but 5'2". There's no way I could go to 147 and look healthly, at my height. The BMI for men is totally different, if they weighed what it said for some they would look like
POW"s. They are crazy. It could be you just need to work out like I need to be doing right this second. I've also noticed some of the BMIndex's are different depending on the doctor also. How can they change their minds so much and vary so much if it's suppose to be I thought a national thing.? I say you know where you need the most help so get to wrk on it.The Turbo Jam-Beach Body is real good if you stick to it. That's where I'm headed right now. Good Luck. I have a hard time gettting motivated sometimes. But my tummy is always there to remind me constantly. Yuckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk!!

Hi,
I am the same height as you and weigh slightly more and i was told is was my ideal weight as well, I don't have a fat bum but have a blobby tummy, my doctor basically said that after 2 kids a hysterectomy and ongoing HRT that i should not worry so much and get on with life without putting myself on a constant diet.. so maybe we should both listen to what the doctors say... and enjoy ourselves.. good luck with that..

The doctor is going by a chart that doesnt always work for everybody. Your body fat % is more important. Two people can be the same height and weigh the same, but one can have significantly higher body fat%. Depends on the body type.

If I were you Lips I would try and do some toning exercise, just don't expect immediate results, I have been trying to work on the same area for the last two months and I still have a long way to go!

If you are a female its slightly over weight if your a man its completely normal weight, don't forget if your muscly it doesn't count as muscle weighs more than fat. If the England rugby team did a BMI they would all be obese!

according to the NHS direct BMI calculator you are just over the ideal weight for your height. Doesn't sound like a huge problem. Have a look at the site - it might put your mind at ease.

Your height / weight ratio is just a statistical average; maybe you should work out a little & convert some of your fat to muscle. Mind you, you sound fine as you are.

because being the perfect weight doesn't mean your will have your ideal body type or super-lean-muscle-person. It means you're not fat or unhealthy. It's normal and healthy for your body to have a little and store fat and it decides where to store it - it doesn't mean you are fat.

If your doctor says your weight is normal and within a good range, you just need to tone up your muscles.
