I have been dating this guy for 9 months now and were getting ready to go on 10 months. Hear lately we have been getting to close. He's always around and I never have time to myself. I have asked him for my space and he said he would give it to me but never did. He told me that I would get my space monday through thursday and friday I was his. I have asked over and over again for my space and I even got my mother involved to see it if would stop, then one day at school he watches me and my every move especially watches who I hang out with, he wrote me a note today and I didn't like it. My mother told him over the phone to back off and he hasn't I told him we were taking a break for each other and that we could date other people, and of course he didn't approve of it at all. He complains that he's so in love with me and that I'm the only girl for him. What should I do? If you can help me out or give me some advice it will be greatly appreciated. Thank you Rachel Fox

Girl. . be careful. I'm a person that LOVES my space. Life doesn't revolve around someone special in your life. . we all should have outside friends, interests and hobbies, which is what makes you retain your individuality. If he's doing this now, you REALLY won't be able to breathe if you continue in this relationship with him. Better look at this closely .. you're being smothered and we all need some "me" time. Better stop being so available to him and stall him out a little because by going along with it you're setting a standard that it's ok - -

You've got to let your principle at school too. So they can keep an eye on him too. I work in a court house. i've seen kids file restraining orders too. This sort of thing happens quite a bit. If you are under a certain age your mom could file it on your behalf.

i would tell your boyfriend that you love him but you need your space too. you have two options you can breakup or you can ask him to give you some major breathing space. but since you have already tried to ask him to give you space and have tried to breakup with him, you need to confront him and tell him to back up and leave you alone. if that doesn't work you should talk to your parents about other options.

good luck, Rachel. i hope that this guy will leave you alone and i'm sorry that you had to put up with him.

Maybe if you're not happy that he's around then you should probably talk to him about it. He might understand, then again, maybe he won't. If you need anymore advise, e-mail me at jlharris1989@yahoo.com

If it doesn't stop and your Mom is concerned, I think you should maybe get a restraining order.
