As for them being reliable that's uncertain. I would suggest trying to call the place that Maury uses you get the results fast I know it cost more but if you pay 100 dollars down they will let you send payments. when paid in full you receive the results. at least its safer this way not only to u go to a doctors office to give samples but they also take pictures of all participants to ensure true accuracy its so much safer and reliable.

The home testing kits for paternity testing are not legal documents and would not hold up in court. The reason is they do not follow any sort of chain of custody so you can not go back and say this person was collect because your are collecting yourself there is not way to determine if you actually swab who you say you did.
If you’re considering testing the average cost for a routine test (mom-child and alleged father) is about $500 and most companies offer a payment plan and get you collected at a convenient place.
The in-home tests are just as accurate as the legal tests they just cant hold up in court.
If you know who you are swabbing and don’t need them or wont need them for any other reason than to just know in-home testing is the cheapest way to go
If you want to make sure all the correct parties are collected and as some point might need them for court I would spend the extra $400.00 to have an AABB accredited lab perform the testing. You would always have the results and would know they are done correctly and if ever questions pictures of the parties collected would be there and also it would state who collected everyone and when.

I'm not sure, but I wouldn't trust any kind of medical testing kit that you can buy over the Internet. Anyone could get on-line and sell something and then tell you any kind of result they want.
