I speak from experience - buy product called OPI Nail Envy. Had problems with my nails for years - have been using this (clear nail varnish) for 6 months or more and my nails are long, strong and healthy. Available on QVC shopping channel, on their web site, hair/nail supplier wholesalers, e-bay, lots of places. Expect to pay £10+ for small bottle but if you use it as stated on the instructions, I'll guarantee, given a few months, your nails will be just great.

As suggested you could purchase anyone of nail strengthening products. However, if you are looking for something simple and known home remedies here's a few suggestions.

You could strengthen nails by eating a square of table jelly daily.
Massage lanolin into the base of each nail at bedtime.
Soak nails in a solution of 1 part cider vinegar to 8 parts water for 10 min. twice weekly.

I make my nails stronger by using green tea. They make sally henson green tea clear/colored polish. I did that like 3 times a week and only two weeks. and now my nails are so strong that the lady who painted my nails about 3 weeks ago said that my nails were unbelievably strong.

you can try all the remedies above but, ultimately, it comes down to genetics and what your parents' nails are like! Despite drinking loads of milk, eating cheese and raw jelly cubes for years I STILL have very weak and flaky nails and my hair is very fine. Sorry, but that's what you're born with, you can improve it a little but if that's your genetic makeup then you will probably never have really strong nails.
