I know we can eat those little flowers, but can we eat the little green 3 and 4 leafed things? Is there a toxic dose?

You can eat all of the clover that you want. There is nothing toxic about it. It would have a lot of nutritional value, especially in vitamins and minerals. It would have a nutritional equal to collard greens, spinach, lettuce, etc. What you will not be able to digest is the cellulose which is a big part of all greens. Clover might not taste as well as other greens or you may have to develop a taste for it, but go ahead and dive in and enjoy yourself. By the way, many sprouts eaten are germinating clover seeds.

You can put it in your mouth, chew it up, and swallow it. It won't kill you (in small amounts). But it is not particularly nutritious. You won't get much out of it. Humans lack the stomach for properly digesting clover.

It is difficult to say what dosage would prove toxic. There is a lot of variety between people and tolerance levels.
