Cuz if they drank as much as we did they'd be sluts.

Yeah, it's just "great". Ever been a victim of someones drunken abusive behavior? How about when you can't depend on your spouse not to "have a few" and then drive the kids around town. How about the constant fear that if your spouse is a little late coming home he caused an accident while driving drunk and is in the hospital or jail or even worse killed someone whose family will now sue his estate and you'll lose your house and everything you ever worked for because your insurance company won't pay because he broke the law and was driving drunk?

I've paid to get my spouse out of jail on two DUI. Higher insurance rates, stress from constant fear of what will happen next. Yeah, alcohol is just "great". The biggest problem is the idiot who can't say when enough is enough and needs to get drunk all the time. No matter how much "fun" you are having in your drunken revels your wife, girlfriend, children and anyone else who cares about you suffers. Just "great".

well, i am a girlfriend, and i happen to love alcohol. i'm sure it's not the alcohol that's bothering these wifes and girlfriends of whom you speak. it's how you behave when you drink it that makes them want you to stop. so maybe you should reevaluate how you act when you're imbibing? or at least, keep your cool when drinking around your lady. oh, and going home to her wasted and pawing on her is (at the very least) ANNOYING. so for sure stay away from doing that, lol.

Perhaps you are not with the right partner...? I love a drink, as does my husband, but we are mostly pretty responsible social drinkers. We now have a baby and neither of us drink much these days. I have had experiences where previous b/f's freek out after I've had the 2nd wine and that's clostrophobic and dictatorial.

Mo-der-a-shun my dear man....
It is not the alcohol, it is the behavior that is a turn off.
I think that you will find that drinking socially in moderation is a very accepted behavior by most women, while getting blotto and acting like an idiot is a general turn off.

I am a girlfriend and I think alcohol is good. Just be safe about your drinking.

drinking in moderation is fine,i like to drink. but if you are being pestered to stop, you probably are going overboard with it.also you may spend too much money on it.also-if you are out without them they may be insecure and feel you would be more likely to cheat or act inappropriately if inebriated.

Sure, in moderation it is great...but once you start puking all over yourself every day and get a big old gut because of it, can't get your dick hard because of it - why wouldn't a lady be annoyed?
I think there is a line one has to draw, and the lady shouldn't have to be the one who has to draw it.

I love alcohol. When I drink with my boyfriend, he's the one making sure I don't get too ****** up. And he's a huge drinker.

umm... if someone is pestering you to stop, that likely means you have a problem. i've never had to tell my man when to stop drinking.
