I just posted a similar message and realize I need to reword the question. Im not talking about dreams. My mom, a sound minded person intelligent person, complete straight shooter. She swears up and down that my dad, her husband before he died. . She waited some time and is concerned that I might think she is wacky but had to tell me that. According to my mom, my dad came to her at her house. They looked each other in the eyes and he said (I cant stay) put his hand on the back of her neck under her hair, kissed her and then he was gone. Has anyone had anything like this happen to them that was not a dream or a demon? I hate hearing that some think it’s a demon but I want to know what it was she saw or if anyone could explain why? It only happened once and she says she didn’t say anything to him. She describes as a good and haunting experience. She really does believe this happened.

I believe your mom's story. In November 2003 my grandmother died at the age of 84. In December, I saw her in my living room. I was NOT asleep. She seemed to be having a conversation with God that took place when she was 80 years old. In that conversation He told her that it was time to die but she said, "could I stay and pray for the baby?"
I could feel the emotion behind this conversation but I was not in it. I could see and hear them.

Anyway, when I looked back at it, right after my grandma turned 80, I started going through a horrific divorce. She was my comfort so many times. Well, the divorce was final in 2003 after which she died. I believe that she was only her to get me through that rough time in my life.

I appreciate her more now than I did then. She prolonged her life in order to care for me.

What your mom says is real.

I thnk its real..I had an older brother who died...he was a real trickster when alive....For about a year after he died, I'd catch glimpses of him...or loose something and all of a sudden I'd find it and the hairs on my arms would all stand on end. After about a year I think he realized he was dead and moved on to where he belonged.
SO yes I think things like this can happen when people have a strong connection.

while it's hard and energy consuming for the spirits of the dead to interact with the physical plane it is certainly possible especially with enought motivation (which your dad certainly had)

It sounds like your dad has moved on from this world and has resolved for himself whatever was keeping him here. be happy that he is at peace. he has moved on to the next stage of existance

and as for the whole 'it's a deamon' crap don't pay attention to it, these people wouldn't know a demonic entity if it bit them on the a** .to most christians diffrent = evil to them. a lot like children scared of their own shadows if you ask me

I guess it was a dream....made by a demon..and she must forget about it...the demons can make even visions...No one can come here after he died and do such things....You can ask the priest better..No matter what it was, the main idea is that she wasn't kissed in reality...

I read that demons can do a lot of things..in the lives of the Ortodox Saints..
But we musn't be afraid of devil..he tries to make himself important..

She shouldn't pay attention to things like this....and you must pray anyway...You should try to make her forget about it..say that your father is in heaven..that is all....

It is written: "And inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment."

If your mother had an encounter with your dad, I assure you it wasn't your dad. It probably was a deceiving spirit whose purpose was to deceive your mother into believing this is what happens after one dies. But If you want to know the truth, please read the New Testament and you will find out the answer to your questions as to what happens after one dies.

Moreover, if you do, make sure you respond to the call of God...

The same thing happened to my grandmother, whereas my grandpa told her that everything would be okay, in order to comfort her of his death.
