It would be able 3-6 months. John the Baptist's mother was pregnant during an overlapping time as Mary, the mother of Jesus was.

Approximately 6 months, since according to the gospel of Luke Elizabeth and Mary seem to be pregnant at the same time (remember the angel tells Mary, "She who was barren is now in her sixth month). John started his ministry long before Jesus, it seems, however.

I have heard that it wa about 6 months. I think that Jesus was born in the fall on Rosh Hashanna.
Sodebar: Did you ever wonder what year Jesus was born? I did this last year; Click on the link below and it will take you to a site that can take you to the year you think that he was born in. If you apply certain things like Jewish Holidays it will show you on what day the festival's took place on in that year. I'm giving you the link with the Jewish Holidays in the year 4 AD. Enjoy. ( :

Edit: ok, shall we only stick to what's authentic. the place do you get a time line out of this?

Well, since the angel told Mary that Elizabeth was in her sixth month, I would guess around 6 months. But it could have been seven. We don't have a real time frame for then, so it's an approximation.
