There are no words that will describe it. Spent $6000.00 in six months and got rid of it. (kept trying to get money out of it) It's a new model year. I don't know if mine was built on a Monday or Friday or if the whole plant was stoned. I wouldn't touch it, even if I was buying it for a demolition derby. It was fun keeping track of all the recall notices. I think the recalls have surpassed being chapters and it has become "The Taurus recall book...... a struggling mechanics dream". Tow truck drivers, parts counter persons and mechanics love them. Good vehicle for a suicide bomber. The name is perfect for the car as I was shafted, it tore my a s s. Ok I think I have said enough.

early nineties fords are great cars if they have somewhat low mileage and have been taken care of, i bought a 1990 mercury grand marquis (engine: ford 5.0) last spring for $550 and i drove it to texas from new york when i moved in the summer without any problems at all, also my girlfriend has a 95 ford escort and we drove it to tx from ny in january without any trouble. i would say if the engine looks clean and it drives ok, you should be just fine, just keep up with oil changes etc. . .
