Small meals throughout the day that encompass all the food groups will certainly lead to better health. If you are female and you keep your calorie intake under 10 calories for every pound you currently weigh you should (like you're saying) loose the weight you want in a very gradual way and keep it off. A word of caution from my own experience - watch the water intake, especially if you're eating lots of fruits and veggies, which have a high water content. Too much water can cause you to feel sluggish, as it's washing nutrients out of your system too quickly. Your urine should have color - if it's clear, cut back on the fluids! Good luck!

It is best when you eat several smaller meals a day than 3 large or regular meals...It helps you lose weight and maintain a healthy metabolism. In combination with plenty of water you can't go wrong! Keep up the good work!

Personally, I think it is better to eat 5 or 6 small meals a day, than eating one big one and starve the rest of the day.

As long as you have a set number of calories, carbohydrates, etc., (and plenty of water), you should be okay.

I think that with what you were doing was right and was obviously working for you. The thing about changing ones eating habits means you have to make the change for life or weight will come back. That is why I don't use the word "diet" cause diets are only temporary. If you want weight to stay off you need to make the change for life. :)

Don't weigh yourself right after you eat. Maybe, you didn't really gain many pounds. I noticed that yesterday. I didn't lose any pounds after I ate, and than it digested. Than, I saw myself losing 4 pounds or so. It's the time you weigh yourself. You need to use that energy after you eat.
