Sure as death. Nobody can stop death, knowingly or unknowingly. You may avoid some dangers but when death says your time's up, is up.

Maybe. If I were falling off the top of a tall building, there is not much I could do about it. But if I were atop the building, near the edge, I could draw back.

If the death was going to be real painful I would shoot myself in the head. But if I were to do that would change the future and not have the prediction in the first place.
