that is a very huge generalization.... I am a Christian but not 'religious'... i have read the bible and found so many places that say God hates divorce.... so I have to take that as it is NOT ok just to decide one day that i don't like being married and should go out and divorce my husband. if it is not ok with God, then it is not ok for me to do it.

religions make loopholes... but true faith does not.

is God saying we have to stay in abusive dangerous relationships? I don't think so... I think if we have exhausted all our energies in trying to make it work in that sort of marriage.... then God truly will forgive ... but it isnt up to 'the people' to decide for a whole group... each person has to know in their hearts what God's will is for them!

and you can only know that by having a relationship with God... not 'attending a church that says it is ok or not ok'...

the religious people are the ones who condemned Jesus and insisted that He die

It's a case of reading between the lines. If you're getting a Divorce because you verbally spar a lot, just go to counseling. If it's a physically, mentally, or otherwise abusive relationship, then it's okay.

Why should someone make a lifetime commitment, usually at a young age ?

People change and there is nothing wrong with moving on with your life if you are in a bad marriage

Is it against the bible? Who cares !!!!

Marriage back then was just enslavement for women and controlled by men

There are only few circumstances where divorce is biblically "ok".

We are all sinners, however, and make mistakes. God is willing to forgive.

Because it fits in with their lifestyle. Religion is really just a game they play. They pay lip service to scriptural teachings but in reality they're even more devious and immoral that your average atheist.
