Atheists might locate it offensive in view which you by some ability concept with all your heart and soul (you at the instant are not extremely for particular why, only intuition) that the Bible is valid hence you in addition to might concept with such intensity that atheists are erroneous fools. Atheists might locate it offensive in view which you're asserting which you're by some ability more advantageous to the a million/2 of the international that doesn't have faith in a Christian god. And why exactly do you believe that. Are you that tightly wrapped in that cocoon of ignorance that you cant even reason that someone besides yourself could have different beliefs than your fantasy nonsense. Believe me your fantasy Boogie Man Satan will not jump out and bite your butt if you chance to reason a bit.

Besides I'm quite sure that every Christian believes deep down in their heart that God is all a bunch of crap.

That's a very human bit of thinking. We do tend to operate on the assumption that everyone believes what we believe, even when confronted with evidence to the contrary.

The architecture of the human mind is such that it is necessary to believe in something. We need a background set of assumptions upon which to base our day-to-day decisions.

Because what we believe becomes the ground of our being, the organizing principal of our thought, the sine qua non of all of our choices, we assume that our beliefs are "natural" and right., and that all thinking people share our beliefs.

When we encounter different beliefs, we tend to think that those who profess to believe other than we do are either enormously stupid or willful and recalcitrant. We correct those people, we instruct them, we counsel them. If they continue to behave as if they don't believe what we believe we condemn them to perdition, or burn them at the stake.

Yeah. My uncle is one. He really does think that we are from nothing and nothing we will become. He's a good man and I don't mind his conviction. In fact, I think if we could all believe something the way he believes that, we would all live our religions better. Just because they don't believe in God, doesn't mean they are bad people. They have the right to believe as they will. It doesn't make me less of a Christian to think that, it makes me honest and tolerant of others beliefs.

It would be foolish not to, as there certainly are some -- I see one every time I look in a mirror. The opinion in the question is demonstably false: there is no evidence, and hence no reason, to believe in any sort of god; furthermore, it is provably useless to do so.

I'm sure it's nice for you to believe that but until you are inside of me feeling what I'm feeling (this is starting to sound dirty!!) then you will not understand that I DO NOT believe there is a higher power. Just like I can never feel the faith that you have

Your beliefs are irrelevant. We exist and we don't "deep down know" that there's a god. We do not believe in your god, and pretending that you're psychic doesn't vindicate you.

You believe a great many things, don't you?

Seeing as how you are so very wrong about this one, why should we believe you on other matters?

No, most of us have made educated, informed decisions and understand that there is a personal choice whether we wish to believe in facts or myth.
