I took a course on vet. assist. They say that when a puppy bites just yell owwww kinda loud. Not loud enough to terrify it as chihuahuas are very nervous dogs. They will learn that they are hurting you, just like when you see 2 pupies playing and one bites too hard, the other will yelp and the biter lets go. Same thing here. Also when he bites yell or say NO! and give him his toy and say good boy! Hope this helps.

get him some toys to relieve his urge to bite. and role up a single sheet of newspaper. keep it where you can get to it in a hurry. when he starts biting you, point and say NO as stern as you can along with a look on your face that tells the dog you are serious. if you want to get the dogs further attention, or if this alone isn't enough, tap the dogs nose with the newspaper. it's not supposed to hurt, the noise should scare the dog. sooner or later the dog will relate biting you to getting swatted on the nose with a scary paper stick. good luck!!!

Ok I watched my neighbors 2 dogs for over a year every afternoon in the summer... now one used to bite me constantly but playing around. So I called around and see what I could do and professionals say that if you hit the dog on the nose (not hard, just enough for them to understand) and say NO! Usually the dog understands it, it worked for my neighbors dog and Im sure it will work for yours. Goodluck!

This may sound cruel but buy a mussel for him and when ever he bites you Say No in a firm voice then put the mussel on leave it on for a hour take it off and repeat he'll catch on in a few days my rottweiler did.

AS they have no hands they use their mouths to interact with their world. the best you can do is say owch when it 's too hard and then ignore the dog for two minutes. the dog will learn not to bite so that you keep attention on it.

When he bites you say "OW!" really loud and ignore him. He'll learn that biting is not going to be rewarded. Try spreading a little butter on your hand and encourage him to lick it off by saying "kisses" when he does praise him then he'll learn that kisses are good, and biting is not.
