I don't like eating infront of people because I eat way too much food and they probably think is weird that I eat too much and I'm still skinny.

Yesterday, my niece, my sister-in-law and I went to eat lunch outside. I eat what I can and my sister-in-law was shocked, she said, "I don't know about you being skinny, you sure do eat a lot."

That's why I want to hide and don't eat with no one. Should I keep hiding and eat alone?

Absolutely not! Never hide away when you are eating - this sometimes is a sign of a very serious eating disorder. So you're slender and perhaps you are young and have a high metabolism. People who make comments like that usually do it because they're jealous that either they don't have that luxury or because they are overweight. You may just be one of the fortunate people in the world who can eat as much as you want and not gain any weight - people can be very hateful because of that. Remember it's their problem not yours - don't let others dictate how much, how often you eat. The rule of thumb for anyone of any size, eat only when you are hungry, eat slowly to give your stomach time to send the signals to your brain that you've had enough so that you don't end up with that "stuffed" feeling, and when you're satisfied take the plate away - if everyone did this we would have much less obesity in our society.

I'm the same way I eat what I want, when I want and still stay the same weight. I tell you what when you get to thinking your to skinny go to a store like Wal Mart and will be happy with you being a little thin. Some of those women buts are so big , I'll let you by this time if you let me by next time. I would rather be a little skinny than have to watch ever bite I eat
so be happy I'm sure you look good. Don't be afraid to eat in front of others their just jealous because they can't have a couple of donuts in the morning and snacks and eat just what you want, don't worry what others think, just what you think..

Eat your heart out around others and by yourself. Doesn't matter. Why does it bother you. You can eat and not gain...but just to let you know that may change if your just a teen right now. I was the same. As long as your active you can continue like that. I was a stick in high school but after high school I gained 30 lbs. I'm not big now, just average. People still think I eat alot for what I weigh.

Don't hide. Eat what it takes to make you full. People metabolize food at different rates. People that make comments are probably just wishing they could eat that much and look like you . I have had thyroid trouble in the past and I have been at both extremes. I am fat now but I can remember being stick skinny and ravenous! Don't waste your life hiding. Just be you.

Your body probably requires a lot more calories than the average person.

Instead of worrying about what other people think, focus on nourishing your body -- some of us eat a lot more than others. Nothing wrong with it!

Other people are probably just amazed -- and maybe jealous! -- that you dont' gain weight (and secretly wish they could eat a lot too!)

I think you might consider eating with others. It's obviously "NORMAL FOR YOU" to need more nourishment.

Pig out while you can!

See, I do that too but I've been eating out in the open more and it feels good. Who cares if you eat a lot and are still skinny? You have something that some people wish they had. Enjoy it!

No, you shouldn't in fact you should be happy that you can eat as much as you want and still remain thin. My son is 14 and he eats ALOT but he only weighs 118lbs and is 5'11, the doctor says that he is just fine so don't you worry and enjoy it while you can. Besides it means that your metabolism is doing what is supposed to. I wish that I could say the same thing.

dont hide because we are all just jealous of you. I have a brother who never gains weight no matter what he eats-but hes healthy- and it makes me nuts hearing him complain when half the population is dieting and getting fatter all the time. Celebrate you motabolism while it lasts.
