Sounds a bit like Canine Parvovirus. Very dangerous for puppies and adult dogs as well. (dogs up to 6 months 50% or more mortality rate even with treatment). Another person said that the Vets take payment plans, and that is very true. Please take the dog to the Vet immediately. A good friend of mine has a American Bull Terrier / Pointer mix and she contracted the Canine Parvovirus ... She wouldn't eat, drink and was throwing up constantly. She was playfull for the first few days and then all she would do is lay around and not move much. If she didn't get an IV and overnight treatment, she would have died.
This cost my friend about $500 but she was able to pay in installments over a year. The Vet was very understanding when it came to her financial issues.

This dog needs a vet. You should call around and see if there is a vet that can help you out with payments such as making small monthly payments on credit. Or even just call them and see if there is something you can do for the dog yourself. Sometimes they can offer you ideas to help the dog without bringing it in. When our family dog was severly ill, we were in a financial bind, so my mom called the vet and they told her what she could try. They had him on just water, then ice cubes and water, then milk, then soft food, then back to his regular diet. He slowly recovered and was back to normal in a few weeks thanks to the vet. But they told us had he not kept the water and ice cubes down, we'd have to take him in, no matter what. Sadly, he died a few years ago, but he was old and it was his time. Anyway, there are ways to help this dog. And if there is no way you can help him financially, you should really take him to a local shelter where they will take him in, treat him, then adopt him out. I know you might feel attached to this dog, but pets are a huge responsibility and part of the responsibility is being able to get them the necessary treatment, whatever the cost.

I really recomend, calling a vet about this problem, a dog of mine had same symptoms a few years back, which she died from, after being treated for a few day, it was 3 stages of imune deficencey. Maybe the vet can work out a pay plan, for aunt. Best wishes for the dog to get better. As I love dogs very much. They show so much affection to humans, they deserve to be taken care well care of.

Take the dog to the vet immediately. They will work out payments or reduce the cost of the medical expenses if you explain the situation. The dog is probably very dehydrated right now and needs to be on an IV as well as seen by a vet, asap.

She needs to take the dog to the vet or at the very least call them and get the doctors opinion. There is no way anyone online is going to be able to diagnose what is wrong with her dog.
She'll either have to work something out with the vet or put it on her credit card. I can't see any responsible vet turning away an animal with an emergency situation.

No doubt take the dog to the vet. I'm sure if you explain the situation they will be willing to work with you. I wouldn't try to medicate the dog with any over-the-counter meds. This could make things worse. Most importantly, get the poor pooch some help. Best of luck!

Take the dog to a vet who will allow you to pay in installments. It sound bad.Unless you act quickly, you may lose the dog. If worse comes to worse, see if the local SPCA can help.

Go to the vet immediately! Sometimes they don't charge. Ask for someone to drive to the vet 'cause if something bad happens you'll be there. Ask for a quick check-up the vet will tell you whats happening. Good luck!!! :o)

If peole can not afford dogs or take care of them properly, they should not have them. I realize everyone has finacial problems. But my dog is part of me he comes before bills. Get him to a vet or shelter, they'll work with her. Do not delay.

The best thing to start with is to change his/her diet. Try feeding your dog with rice and chicken for at least 3 days. Don't put any spice on the rice or chicken. You can also replace the chicken by cottage cheese.
