I'm interesting in generating extra income. I came across this company at a recent baby expo called Discovery Toys.
They sell smart toys for baby and kids.

Anyhow, the startup kit is $99.. I was interested, but not without doing research first. Here's a link to their site.. http://www.discoverytoysinc.com/ Let me know if you would buy the products. That way I have a better idea of knowing whether this is the type of thing that would be worth trying to sell.
Thanks

No.

I don't buy ANYTHING via direct sales. If Avon comes out with a real fountain of youth, I'll still die.

I agree with the other posters: the toys look expensive (and unremarkable; those aren't can't-get-anywhere else things), and paying up-front is probably a bad idea for any sort of job.

If you want to do something similar -- find lovely-looking high-quality foreign, esp European and Japanese, toys, buy wholesale, and flog them on eBay (or start your own site; am not thrilled w/eBay these days) to N Americans, with reasonable shipping prices. That'd be unique and worth hunting down and valuable.

With the Discovery Toys thing, though, you'd be selling stuff I could just buy on-line easily anyway -- why would I bother hunting you down?

And, I notice there're a few too many, given the Craigslist spam I keep seeing for them...

Their products look good, sounds like you'd be throwing "tupperware parties" with their products. Personally, I always find a way to avoid those things when friends invite me because there's the expectation that a purchase will be made. Also, their prices are decent, but a bit higher than I'd be willing to pay. However, if I were a first time mom I probably would have been sucked into buying a lot of that stuff. Always be careful of the places that want money up front.

Let me tell you I love their products, and tried to sell them. Turns out I am not a good salesperson, I guess. I could not even get one booking. It all depends on how you are selling things. I know a lot of people who love t he products, but they are a little expensive and the whole party at home thing isn't their thing. So if you know a lot of people that like to have the at home parties you will do well. Not only that but if it doesn't work out you can keep all the toys from your demo kit, which is what I did. Good Luck

Hi,
I only looked at the front page and from buying and selling on ebay, I can tell you any toys like this are a seller! Lamamaze, tiny love, those mobiles that play classical music, etc.... all bring big money.
$99 / £45 sounds not alot, see what you get for your money and how much profit you'd be likely to make etc.. Ebay would by far be the best outlet to resell though.
Hope my opinion was helpful and good luck xxx

no becuz it is a bit expensive. has a parent i dont buy my son expensive toys becuz in a couple weeks it'll become a old toy and stay in the toy box being untouched. its all part of growing up with kids. it looks like great toys with discovery but its just not for me.

People generally buy them in stores. I really don't think many people are going to want to spend a bunch of money on toys that a bigger retailer can offer lower prices on. Sorry.

I agree with the first poster. I have bought a few Discovery toys, but I find them pricey, and you can find similar toys in stores.

I was given a basket of their toys as a gift and we loved them but when I checked them out to buy more I found them too pricy. It depends on the area you will be working. Many people would go for them and they do make good shower gifts for co-workers (it was a few of my husband's guy friends who got together to buy it).

Mrnstruation continues to be seen "unlean" or, at best, "nasty" bu any such vast volume of human beings of both sexes; for a guy to understand some thing about that's unusual, for a guy to take section to the quantity of shopping for tampons is amazingly unusual. lol some adult men get embarrassed about figuring out to purchase knickers for women human beings!
