Jehovah's Witnesses define all of their beliefs from the bible, and explain them well in their publications. Witnesses generally instruct new bible students with the aid of a book entitled "What Does the Bible Really Teach?". It is available in dozens of languages, and can be requested from any Jehovah's Witness.

1 Timothy 2:5 "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;"
This scripture is very clear in letting us know that Jesus is our mediator. This is what true christians believe.
Unfortunately, 99% of JWs are taught that as part of the 'other sheep' Jesus is not their mediator. Not many JWs actually know this and I mention it when they knock on my door.as I think it is so important to give them a proper witness about Jesus.
Here are two quotes from their own publications
Likewise, the Greater Moses, Jesus Christ, is not the Mediator between Jehovah God and all mankind. He is the Mediator between his heavenly Father, Jehovah God, and the nation of spiritual Israel, which is limited to only 144,000 members." Worldwide Security Under the "Prince of Peace" pp.10-11
"Is Jesus the "mediator" only for anointed Christians? ... So in this strict Biblical sense Jesus is the "mediator" only for anointed Christians." Watchtower 1979 Apr 1 p.31
Jesus also established a new covenant with his people but guess what? That same 99% of JWs are not included or are a part of that covenant.

I know those people.
First, what they do not believe:
No hell-fire.
No trinity.
No immortal soul.
They teach (accurately, I believe) when we die, we simply cease to exist, soul included.
They await the time God will intervene in man's affairs and set up a paradise on earth ...like Eden.
Then God will re-make (ressurect) people and offer the possibility of living in it forever.
Perfect health and peace.
They believe the heaviest influence in the world today is that of Satan.
They go from door to door because that is what original christians did (Acts 20:20 & Acts 5:42).
They are very big on following closely the procedure carried out by the christians of Jesus' time.

The simplest answer is the bible. They believe everything from the bible and any bible.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 - All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

What is the project on. I want to know before I spend the time . Another very good way is to contact your local Kingdom Hall (listed in the phone book) and whoever answers will be more than happy to help. Do not google them. If you want the truth you get it from the horses mouth.

Beat on doors.
Bring another gospel.
Use a bastardized bible to substantiate their claims.
Do not believe Jesus was God.
In effect anti-christian.
