Collage requires lots of found or bought materials. I like to think that you will get better grades if you make your art work out of found things as well as magazine pictures and bits of ribbon/other items.

Choose your theme first: e.g. nature, or factories, or clothing
Then decide upon a general color scheme: autumn colors or primary colors what ever.
Gather the appropriate materials and the glue you have chosen
Put it together.

Often an art work of collage will retain beauty with a varnish or other protective coating.
