babies health have nothing to do with it just b/c someone formula feeds doesn't mean they will have a sick baby. breastfeeding is better than formula, but it wouldn't cause any harm if someone didn't do it. Some people are ignorant and think they know it all and can tell others what to do with their lives, probably b/c they feel they have no control over their own. there is nothing wrong with formula feeding your child no matter what the reason you choose. that does not make you selfish. your breast will more than likely return to the pre-pregnancy size. it does depend on the person some people lose more and some people have a little more than they started. if you are not happy with your size, victoria sercert works wonders on boobs. for $40 you can have your boobs back. i love my VS bras, a very good investment.

That wasn't very nice of those people to attack you! I don't know why they would act that way. I don't think there is a way to keep your bust size unless you keep producing milk. You could always use a breast pump instead of breast feeding. You just have to ignore some people. They get angry if you don't think like they do. Good luck!!

I think the only way is to just get a boob job.

As for the name calling, don't let it bother you. Its good to do something just for yourself sometimes. If its selfish, I don't care if I'm happy. I have 5 horses and have resisted selling them even though they're getting expensive with gas prices and everything. Does that make me selfish? Probably. Do I care? NO.

I'm a huge fan of breast feeding - it is my belief that it is very beneficial for the child and the mother. I am also very big on giving folks the benefit of the doubt. I would hope that all things were considered in making your choice. That said , don't worry about what others say. You have to live your life and be responsible for the well being of your child on your own. Nobody is going to step in and do it for you unless you prove to be a horrible parent. So you do what you have to do. There's always going to be someone running their mouth. Hopefully, if someone were trying to give you good advice they would do it in a tactful, professional, and pleasant manner so that the message would not be lost.

Um... perhaps it is because putting you "wants" of a bigger breast size in front of your child's NEEDS for the nutrition your body is preparing for him/her DOES sound VERY selfish...

...if the shoe fits...
...if it walks like a duck, and talks like a duck....

Because the breastsize is a bonus to breastfeeding. Wanting to keep it for yourself, and not feed your baby the best way you can, is selfish (I didnt see original post, but assuming this is why!)

I bottle fed my baby but I have noticed many people who breast feed get very mad at people that don't breast feed. My husband and I were both bottle fed and we turned out fine. My son is o.k. I think everyone should choose what they feel works for them and not worry about what others say. I don' t think there is anything you can do about your bust. If you lose weight it is going to go down.

It IS selfish to not breastfeed simply because you are worried about chest size. That's called "vanity". I am no pusher of breastfeeding, but that is the stupidest reason ever not to do it.
