or is the Jewish form of satan more real? if christian tradition and interpretation are correct and the mormon also than the jews might not have a true tradition on who and what satan is! if the jews are correct that Satan is just a prosecuter and not someone that caused 1/3 of the angels to go to war in heaven, than christianity is wrong.
I dont want athiests answering this question because I know there are angels and i know there is a God, even a man named Jesus. so pls dont reply and say there is no satan.

Whether the interpretation is Muslim, Jewish or Christian (as we are all "people of the Book,") the reality of Satan (or Lucifer: Light Bearer) is the same.
Yes, he is real, and his rebellion against His Creator was/ is real and on-going.
Yes, he fell from Heaven with a third of the angels (referred to again in the Christian New Testament in Revelation).
Yes, he is allowed to have an impact on the world and in our lives (read Job).
But he is NOT, has never been and cannot be, God's equal.....he is a created being, just like you, the angels, and all of Nature - and is is subject to God's control and the Christ's final victory when He comes.

My absolute standard is the Word of God. The fall of Satan is chronicled in both the Old and New Testaments of the Bible.
Isaiah 14:12-14, Ezekiel 28:12-18, Luke 10:17-24 and Rev 12:7-10 all describe it.
There is nothing in those verses to indicate Satan is just a prosecuter of mankind. It is also clear that 1/3 of the angelic host fell with him.

God Bless

Yes to both. Satan was lucifer., but after he rebelled against God and was cast out of heaven along with 1/3 of the host of heaven( who will never have a body) he became satan. Read Revelation 12:7-8

Yes, Lucifer did rebell against God the Father and His plan of eternal salvation. Lucifer wanted to force everyone back into God's presence and even usurp the very throne God sat upon!

For that, Lucifer, or Satan, was cast out from heaven along with the one-third of heavenly hosts that agreed and followed him.

They shall never have the blessings of owning a mortal body for a subsequent resurrection, but will be damned forever in spiritual form.

Satan is Lucifer and I believe as a Christian that he has not yet fallen from heaven. I do not believe that God hates us that much that he would make satan fall to earth while we are still living here. All the suffering we feel here are all test of God and the doings other people. Satan is still in heaven and it is written in the bible that he could go back and forth anytime he wants before judgement day comes. and it also implys in the bible that God and satan are not really mad at each other but they are still in speaking terms as we could say it. Satan is not yet in Hell. i believe that coz no mention that Hell is already existing in the bible. I believe that when the time comes that satan will be thrown out of heaven, earth has become the Hell we say. I believe that Earth will become hell in time because earth wont be destroyed anymore by water, so it would be by fire.

Satan was an angel that rebeled against God, and was cast down onto the earth because of this. I don't know about the 1/3 angels.

Yes Satan is Lucifer...He was a spirit child of Heavenly Father just as we all are...2 plans were presented for us as God's children to come to earth, gain a body, have mortal experiences and return to live with him. Lucifer's plan was that no spirit child would be lost to sin - that we would have no agency. His plan was rejected by the Father, he rebelled along with 1/3 of the "hosts of heaven" which were also spirit children of Heavenly Father, and they were all cast out - and then Lucifer became Satan.
Obviously Christ's plan was chosen and He volunteered to be the Savior of mankind.

Yes Satan was an archangel who was cast out of heaven cause he rebeled against god. His demons are former angels that were cast out with him. Nothing in the bible is not true. It says it in Revelation 12:7-9.

I have not found the name Lucifer in the King James version. You are correct in that the word satan means adversary or prosecutor, and in the book of Job at least, it seems that satan is actually on God's staff and carrying out job duties.
At least to me it does, your mileage may vary.

Well, I couldn't get this to edit properly to insert, "except for a reference to king Nebuchadnezzar" right after "King James version" in my first sentence..
The only reference that I found to the name Lucifer was a reference to king Nebuchadnezzar.

only like another smart beings, Lucifer grow to be created with freedom of determination. whether it fairly is impossible to describe why he opt to insurrection against God. If that ought to be a threat to describe it may be an excuse for sin, yet there is not any such excuse. It grow to be a threat, of path, to create smart beings and supply them freedom of determination. whether it surely grow to be nicely actual worth the prospect. absolutely everyone which will stay in God's kingdom will comprehend that.
