Because he is a selfish jerk, only looking out for himself. He says all the right things, doesn't he? Drop him, you deserve someone who hasn't said vows to another, and who doesn't have a child who should be MORE important than his sex life. I noticed you called him a Male, probably because even you know he's not a MAN, a real MAN wouldn't do this to his wife and child. I would want someone who has integrity, loyalty and honor, not some loser, lying, selfish boy.

Ok. There may be some backlash here, but I can probably handle it.
Even though you didn't ask...
The reason you like the married male (all physical attractions aside) is because he is...a MARRIED male. He has proven he can keep and provide for a wife and family. And for a lot of women that is VERY attractive.
As for what you should do...I would do nothing. It's a no win situation for either of you.
He likes you too?? Really?? You know he has a family at home depending on him, loving him. You know that he is committed to them and will in all actuality stay right there being the great dad and husband to them that he has been and you are willing to give him all your good stuff anyway. That's kind of cute of you to act like you don't get why he likes you.
In answer to your other question...He is NOT ...I repeat NOT looking for something else! He's looking for something IN ADDITION to what he already has.
Although you say you did not seduce him (and I fully believe you didn't stand there twirling your hair, biting your lip and dangling your shoe off the end of your foot while you pretended to be interested in his latest high-action comedy from last weekend)...sometimes the only encouragement a man needs is a smile and a pat on the arm.
In addition(with regard to his family), please keep in mind that one day...you WILL meet a great guy without much baggage who wants more from you than what you are willing to give away while no one watches. You will understand after you have a family of your own that in the first few months after having a baby your days and nights are mixed up, your bodies get tired and the little-mrs. isn't always up to the challenge of "satisfying her man"
One last thought...now that I've taken up all the time.
If you truly believed in your heart-of-hearts that this is a good thing...You wouldn't be here asking about it.

Often what is perceived as interest is nothing more than flirting.
Flirting is playful behavior intended to arouse sexual interest. It does not mean one is going to act on it or that the other should take it seriously.
The male ego is a strange animal and often when a baby comes into the picture the woman (who has just carried the baby for nine months and delivers a totally helpless little creature) becomes overwhelmed with the responsibilities of having the baby completely dependent on her, thus taking time and energy away from her husband. So the husband is looking into the mirror and wondering if he is still attractive to women. How else is he going to find out if he doesn't flirt?
It is always nice to know that you are attractive to the opposite sex, so let him think he is attractive but remind him that he is married with a child and that what he really wants is at home waiting for him. :-) And you need to go in the opposite direction and find someone single.

Yes. You did not seduce him.
Yes. He may have interest in you.
But no, you will not have anything good gained from this. At the very least, respect his wife & kid. Think what you'd feel in her position. It doesn't matter what the real reason he is trying to look for someone else. Not your problem. Don't play fire if you don't want to get burnt.
Besides, you might have someone more worthed to give your heart to. And have better qualifications than your married man. Good luck deciding your way.

He shouldnt be tempted by anyone if he is truly in love, and obviously he isnt and shouldnt have got married or have had children. But you are partly to blame for this also. Why suduce this man that has a baby and a wife? Why dont you see that he is already taken and find a single bachelor out there? It makes me upset to think that a woman would want to get involved with a married man and tempt him like that even if he is love. Think about this, what if you were the wife at the end of this and your man was sneaking around?

You should stay away from him. He is married and to have a relationship with him would be wrong, whether he is the one doing the pursuing or not. You sound like you are trying to lay the blame solely on him, but if you continue and have a relationship, you are as much at fault as he is. If he is unhappy in his marriage, he needs to get a divorce before looking for someone else.

Major NO-NO girl!!! I would stay away from this area. If you do decide to persue such a relationship, be wary for with it comes DRAMA! A cousin of mine decided to strike up a relationship with a married man and not only is the family upset with her, but she's being harassed by HIS family because she's meddling and messing and crossed a line she should have never crossed. There are other men out there. If he cannot respect his marriage with his wife, and his responsibility for his child, what makes you think he'll respect a relationship with you?

Well, the question is not why is he showing interest in you. It could be anything like stress of raising a child, so he is looking for some temporary fun....
I would advice you to not get involved. He is married. You owe that much to his wife who must be at home taking care of their child. Having a new child creates many ripples...I am sure this is a passing phase and he will be back to his wife and kid in no time; leaving you miserable. So, dont get involved please.

He's married. Stay away from him. Just because you think he showed interest doesn't mean that this is going to go your way. His wife will hate you, his child will hate you and if he leaves them for you, eventually HE will hate you. Nothing good will come of you pursuing a married man.

This man is completely wretched. You need to stay the hell away from him. Why would anyone want someone who clearly cannot be fully yours? plus, he has a wife and a new born baby! He's not leaving them, not matter how selfish he's being. If he was bad enough to leave them, why would he not leave anyone else?
This just is just being very selfish. and maybe you're just a boost to his ego. For your own self-respect, ignore him, and tell him how lousy he really is.
Find someone else you can call your own, you deserve much more than this rat.
