No, I do it at work all the time. There's no where else to eat lunch if you bring it with you to work so you have to eat at your desk. I don't eat infront of the PC at home though.
Edit: I don't always work when i'm eating in front of the computer most times i'll read something like the news. Its just like reading a paper. I will work sometimes, thats because I want to get things done before I leave and dont' want to stay late. I'd rather work through lunch than stay later at work.

Since having my kids and coming back to work I am not willing to work the long hours I used to put in. So when I am work, every second counts, becuase I just need to get in, get my work done and get out. That's why I eat at my desk. But I am in my office so hopefully I don't look too disgusting to anyone. And of course I am typing a response to this question so even though I just posted that every second counts I guess I'm not perfect. But hopefully my answer makes sense.

I eat lunch at my desk every day. I don't normally work though lunch--I do it so I can get caught up on stuff that I don't usually have time for at home (paying bills, checking personal email account, surfing the web for recipes, coming here to Y!Answers, etc.) :)
Plus, I don't really like going to eat in our lunch room. Too many cackling gossips in there and it's generally so loud I can't enjoy my food.

No, I actually do this myself because at my work place we're only allowed a 30 minute lunch. If I take off elsewhere I'm always late coming back in to work. And, our boss doesn't like us leaving the office for lunch too.

Hmmmm, I eat at my desk all the time, thank you. I am an escrow officer and I have NO spare time. I could work 9 hours a day and go out and eat lunch, but I would rather work 8 hours a day, get all my work done and leave at 5:30PM. Sometimes it is a necessity. But I have my own office with a door, as to not offend anyone such as yourself. :)

I will try not to eat at my desk if people are around, but sometimes it just can't be avoided. My break is sometimes all I have to catch up on personal e-mails, making appointments, etc. so I may not tecnically be "working," but I am available should anyone need me (my job kinda requires that). If a co-worker is offending you by eating where you can see them, close your door (or theirs) and see if they get the hint....

Some people may find it as an inconvience eating yes.
But other people would find it inconveint to have to work during lunch hours,& to have lunch & get they're work done they sometimes have to eat there while working instead of getting a break.

It's called being busy- there are days when you cannot take 15-30 minutes to eat in peace. If you have a job where you can always take a lunch break, you are lucky

I like to eat at my desk. I have a nice comfortable chair and its my personal space so I know its clean. We have no table to eat at were I work, so at my desk I sit. It just so happens that the PC is right here too!
Eating is never a inconvenience for me!

Yep, each and all the time. i'm able to multitask and eat a sandwich and verify e mail or pay attention to song. in specific situations you only ought to get out and revel interior the mild or clean air yet interior the iciness, it feels stable just to stay interior the place that's heat!
