I totally agree with OyEaHBaBy726. Age does not matter much after maturity. I am an openminded person and people cannot be confined to certain age marriages, about which there cant be any generalization as each individual is a different world to discover with his/her distinct rules. There can be some guidelines for general though, which still cannot precisely be applied to individuals. It would, after all, seem awkward to see a 20 yeard old girl with an 80 year old man. So here is a clumsy, but sometimes sensible quantitative formula about ages, though many would disagree in many cases.
The formula says, the woman's age (y) should equal 7 more than half of the man's age (x); that is, y = x/2 +7 (which is probably the minimum recommended, while the maximum is assumed to be somewhat y=x
So a 45 year old man (x) can marry a woman (y) at the age of...
y = 45/2 + 7 = 29,5 :)
So 35 is perfectly normal
that doesnt necessiate that men are older. Try 14 for example, then y=x (14/2+7=14, but who is gonna marry at 14, maybe in very hot tropical or Arabic countries where people marry earlier), or Try 10 for which y= 10/2+7=12, in which woman is older (though practically impossible, math is not necessarily real, lol)
To admit, I had an 18 year old girlfriend at age 24, who was younger than she was supposed to be (24/2 + 7 = 19), so I am doomed, hehe :)

no it's not. By the time a women is 33 and a man is 45 they have reached a sense of maturity. If it was someone lets say 15 and someone 27 that would be 100% different because a 15 year olds brain has not matured to the level of the 27 year olds Thus there is nothing wrong with it. Society will not view them as "different" i know someone who is 40 married to a 55 year old man. They have been married since she was 20. They are happy and have children and are doing well. I see nothing wrong with it.

At 33 the young lady should be mature enough to make this kind of decision
If she was only 16 - 17year old a nine year age gap that is to much

I don't think so,if the female is mature enough to be with a 45 yr,and he treats her with respect,there's nothing wrong with that,it's not always the age that matters.If they care about each other and are good to each other, that's all that matters.Don't let the age difference come in between them.Life's to short enjoy have fun and do everything you want in life be Happyyyyyyyy.Good luck to you,bye

Relationships generally work when two people are on the same plane....they have similar values and have something in common. Generally age makes it easy but then we know a lot of same age couples who separate. Each couple have their own equation and age is just one parameter out of so many.
So, if they both feel good about each other, why not.... the relationship can work.

Definitely not. I think its healthy for the rship in fact. The most mature guy ive been with is 17 years older and though we are no longer together, I simply have nothing bad to say about him.

it's only too far apart if it's an issue to one of you. if you guys can relate to each other than a 12 year difference isnt a big deal.

There is nothing at all wrong with that.
I just tend to think when you are older you will want a younger man.
