Will mohammed go to hell or is it all hypocritical.
I have been studying today and getting more confused by what I find and what is presented to me. In the old testament or the Torah we have the ten commandments. And the one I feelyou should hold most dearly as a religous person is
Thou Shalt Not Kill

Then further in the Quran we have Mohamed saying the following things.

Surah 9:123 - "Believers, make war on the infidels who dwell around you."

Surah 47:3 - "When you meet the unbelievers in the battlefield strike off their heads and, when you have laid them low, bind your captives firmly."

Surah 48:29 - "Muhammad is Allah's apostle. Those who follow him are ruthless to the unbelievers but merciful to one another."

Doesnt this make him a hypocrite as he is doing against allahs commandments ?

These are quotes from the Quran and if a quote from that has to be interprited in a diffrent way then the book is useless. Did Muhamed say those words or not ?? If he did they are against Allahs wishes and that makes Muhammed a false prophet...I'll get to Jesus later.

By Any Means

It foesnt matter how much of the Surat you Quote, it states quite clearly in the Totah 'Thou Shall not Kill' and Muammed is telling people to do the opposite.

My personal opinion is all religion is hypocritical.
The bible and quran both say similar things about not killing then later say that you can kill if it's in the name of your chosen god.
All wars are religious, so surely if we banned religion there would be no wars and unnecessary deaths.

I have to say that i apologize now to all those i am about to thoroughly offend.
The reason that you are confused probably lies in the fact that you are reading it, there are so many contradictions in the Qur'an that even a Great Muslim Scholar (the name escapes me now... i apologize) says that the book is not meant to be thought about but to be listened to. Four places in the book say that the heavens were created before the earth, and then the fifth time that this is mentioned all of a sudden the earth is created before the heavens.
This is only one contradiction however there are many more, another seems to follow the Mohammed's circumstances at the time. Allah does not seem so consistent as is claimed. At the beginning, he says that the muslims should litterally befriend the Christians and Jews because they are and i quote "The People of the Book". This however started to change as he got more powerful and all off a sudden, the Allah tells him not to deal with us, that we are not enemies but not friends either, sort of neutral. This however changed again as they met in skirmishes with the tribes of Israel on the way to i think Mecca don't quote me on that, now we are to have our throats slit multiple times, bleeding us until we are dead.

Oh one thing though, the commandment, it is not thou shalt not kill... It is thou shalt not Murder. Two different things, God would not have given this commandment and then contradict himself one generation later in their conquering of the promised land driving out the inhabitants through warfare.

Very simple:

For 9:123 you need to go back to 9:13 for the context. Which is:

Will ye not fight people who violated their oaths, plotted to expel the Messenger, and took the aggressive by being the first (to assault) you? Do ye fear them? Nay, it is Allah Whom ye should more justly fear, if ye believe! (Quran 9:13)

Next is 47:3 you've not qouted the whole verse:

So when you meet in battle those who disbelieve, then smite the necks until when you have overcome them, then make (them) prisoners, and afterwards either set them free as a favor or let them ransom (themselves) until the war terminates. That (shall be so); and if Allah had pleased He would certainly have exacted what is due from them, but that He may try some of you by means of others; and (as for) those who are slain in the way of Allah, He will by no means allow their deeds to perish. (Quran 47:3)

Why smite their necks? At a time of war do you think a general of an army is going to say "Right guys just go out thier and enjoy yourselfs?" Or his he gonna say "lets get out there and kick some a rse?" As the verse say at the end of the war let them go i.e do not to go around killing everybody.

then what 48:29 oh I think you're using a dubious translation:

Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, and those with him are firm of heart against the unbelievers, compassionate among themselves; you will see them bowing down, prostrating themselves, seeking grace from Allah and pleasure; their marks are in their faces because of the effect of prostration; that is their description in the Taurat and their description in the Injeel; like as seed-produce that puts forth its sprout, then strengthens it, so it becomes stout and stands firmly on its stem, delighting the sowers that He may enrage the unbelievers on account of them; Allah has promised those among them who believe and do good, forgiveness and a great reward. (Quran 48:29)

In other words don't take crap from the people that come to annoy you.

EDIT:

I think you're confused yes it says "Thou Shalt Not Kill" but do you really think that mankind can live in a world were there are no murder or wars? Here is what the the Quran has to say on killing:

Nor take life - which Allah has made sacred - except for just cause
Quran, Al Israa, Chapter 17 Verse 33

take not life, which Allah hath made sacred, except by way of justice and law: thus doth He command you, that ye may learn wisdom
Quran, Al-Anaam Chapter 6 Verse 151

So the Quran is building on top of previous teachings, completing the religion which God wants us to follow, which is much more practical than thou shoult not kill or turn the other cheek.

first of all, it is a fact that all the prophets are actually in heaven, and i believe through you've written that you don't need an answer coz you're actually answering yourself.
the prophet Mohammed (pbuh) said that we should not kill and that is not of our life style to go killing people, yet he has stated conditions following Allah's holy words in the Qur'an, that we must fight those who fight us with no right to and those who take us out of our homes and lands (i.e. what's happeneing in Palestine for nearly 6 or 7 decades.
and the assersion of striking off heads is not completely true when the rightful meaning in the Qur'an is that to strike the throats to the extent of taking a life, and do mind that it is in battle field don't expect muslims to be there with their hands behind their backs greeting their enemy.
unbelievers have no right to stride around on earth when there's someone as powerful and mighty as Allah who gave them life and a place to live as earth, yet they are in disbelief, despite all the signs we see in daily life. that's what should be fought and that's what has been stated.

I've seen these and other passages.

And there is ONE thing CHRISTIANS are free to do and THAT is to follow or not follow a given Bible passage.

In Islam that is TOTALLY FORBIDDEN YOU MUST SUBMIT.

If GOD came to me and told me to kill, I'd refuse and CITE God's commandment.

GOD can level cities. GOD can flood the world. WHY does GOD need me to do his killing.

It's obviouisly a test and I'll take the consquences if I'm wrong.

Any GOD that makes you kiss his boot isn't a GOD worth worshiping.

Now, only Christians can say things like that. A Muslim gets whacked for such talk.

Christians do not have to totally submit to every word or concept.

We do what we beleive to be right and take our chances with God on those decisions.

If a Cleric or Imam orders a Muslim to do something and backs it up with the Quran THEY MUST FOLLOW or they are not Muslim anymore.

Questioning is TOTALLY forbidden in Islam.

peace be on you all,
1-well,mohamed the profet(peace be upon him ) didnt say quran or write it from his own head.it was given by GOD through gabreal to the profet.
2-about the miscponception that muslims are terrorists and part 2 in your question.that was in the battle time and as a way of deffence.as in the battle muslims never started
also there is alot of parts in quran that states that if those disbleivers prefered peace so go for peace.and there is evidance islam was not spread through violence
-muslims ruled spain for 800 years and now the majority are non muslims
-the largest no of muslims in the world is in indonisia (how do u think they became muslims)
3-IN BIBLE ITSELF THERE IS AN EVIDENCE OF SENDING ANOTHER PROFET.WHICH IS THE COMFORTER ,OR THE ADVOCATE IN JOHN 16.

finally i say that may god forgive the ignorence of those people who say stuff without knowledge, and peace be upon all.

You missed a verse. There is also a verse that specifically says do not attack non-muslims unless they attacked you first. If there is peace then let it remain until they strike the first blow. I can't quote it exactly right now but that what it means. Other religions aren't exactly innocent you know, every religion has been in at least one war and killed other people.

You should get a medal, You did a fine Job by cherry picking those verses to make it seem like your point is right, your whole hypothisis would collapse if you read only 1 verse before and after those.
