I know what you mean. All I ever find on here are questions about ghosts, and all they want are spooky stories. What about the spirits of your Ancestors? Is Animism suddenly no longer a valid spirituality? It seems I cant take two steps without being told that Spirits either don't exist, or are evil demons. A little bit of tolerance, and understanding wouldn't go astray... Everybody else is always saying how much it offends them that they don't get it, so why not me? My beliefs are no less valid and no less important than any one else's.
I make a point of not belittling people's beliefs, faiths, religions. So how come what I believe in is demonised? It's a sad, sad world we live in where people claim to believe one thing, and do another. Love? Respect? Tolerance? There's your fairy tales.

Faiths claim things. If they are untrue then it shouldn't matter to you.
If there is a state of affairs in which you are in peril of being damned and an escape method is provided, then a believer saying that is not damning you, he's helping you as he sees it, telling you of the lemmings fate ahead. If the idea is wrong its just delusional and you shouldn't be bothered.
If its possibly true investigate.

You forgot that they will kill, hate, and damn you if you don't believe in THEIR particular invisible spirit. Why can't we just be accepted for who we are and not what we believe?

Funny, I was at a bar last night and ordered an invisible spirit and they said there is no such thing. They probably had it though but just couldn't see it. I bet !

I live in this world. I am Christian. I would never kill, hate, or damn you if you choose not to believe in God.

Stop generalizing so!

Believe what you want, dude. But if it's modern day persecution that you are talking about, it's the Christians that are getting that In Muslim countries and especially in Indonesia and Malaysia.

Aren't you exaggerating?
