Not necessarily.
But being a critical thinker is different than having a critical spirit.
Having a critical spirit means to that everything is judged harshly.
A critical thinker on the other hand is willing to examine information thoroughly, and exactly to the best of their ability to come to a sound conclusion.

No...and laptop no one I know would ever admit such a thing so I assume you speak only for atheist.
The people I hang with (Christians, Buddhists, Jews) are all extremely critical thinkers. We question and research all aspects of thought of Biblical content and on God in our lives (yes, some Buddhist have a God in their life...get over it). We spend two or three nights a week in deep discussion over these things.
It is having the ability to believe in possibility that is the gift only we possess that allows us to be among the strongest of believers in God.

I think it's easier but that doesn't imply that theists are always less critical in their thinking.
You also have keep in mind one can be a critical thinker about one set of beliefs and not about another.

Maybe for most. However, I am a critical thinker and a Christian. Come to the Episcopal Church, where you do not have to check your brain at the door.

thinking requires making critical decisions and admitting to yourself what makes sense to you. spirituality is about forming and maintaining a personal relationship with some kind of other force, usually greater than you.
religion is brokering spirituality out to someone else, therefore you are no longer having a spiritual relationship with anything.
decide for yourself.
i'm an atheist because that's what makes sense to me.

YES!!! And they admit it. "You must have the faith of a child." as written in the bible. Monotheistic religions place "blind faith" as a virtue. Reasoning, thinking are relying on "self" and therefore sinful.
As Martin Luther said "The damned whore: reason."
