you should probably contact a professional to talk to and get him help with the anger management and depression. call your local hospital or a mental health center. there are programs for his age group. they would work with both of you to make life better. I have years of experience working with people with all kinds of handicaps and know the obstacles you face. also, my son has Asberger's Syndrome.

Listen to me very carefully. I had ADHD back when it was just plain old ADD. They put me on meds and the meds CAN, not that they necessarily will, but they CAN cause more problems. I got those problems, and I tried everything - more meds, accupuncture, hypnosis - everything I could think of. What helped me was reading Dianetics and going to one of their centers. Now I'm not a Scientologist, nor do I buy everything they tell me to. But I have gotten help from them, help that works - therapy.
Here's an example, let's say that you were a person who never got anything done. They put you in a room with several objects and say, "Go touch that wall please. Thank you. Now pick up that vase and put it over there. And now turn that book over." They do this over and over for a little while, and what that does is it floods your subconscious with things you got done - and your subconscious doesn't know the difference between a trivial achievement and an important one. They have thousands of proceedures like this.
Now, as to understanding these diseases, you can go to nearly any library and get a book called the DSM, ask what the most current version is, the last one I'd heard of was version 4-R. The book will tell you the symptoms but, and this is VERY IMPORTANT, there must be a certain number of symptoms there (the book will tell you how many) AND they must be "pathological." - Which means the symptom adversely effects social, family, or carreer. Everyone will recognize many diseases in themselves - but they don't have them BECAUSE the symptoms are not pathological.
Go to dianetics.org. Any center should have a video explaining the basic premise of how people become mentally (and often physically) ill.
If you have any questions you can write me privately at thedavecorp@yahoo.com. I travel alot but I'm home for a while and I will always eventually get back to you.
