You need a male and a female. The female has to be in heat. You put them in the same area and bingo....dog love.

The female has to be in heat, and if she isn't, it's not going to happen. However, if you really want to breed, you should read a book about it to see if it's something you really have the time and energy to do right. It takes a lot of time, and it really doesn't pay off financially in the end. Even for the more popular and experienced breeders. If you don't have a show dog, I recommend just spaying, there are too many unwanted puppies out there. Before you breed, take a walk through your local animal shelter. I know I'm not likely to get a best answer out of this question, but it's important that you know these things.

You study the breed, determine the quality of the parents (conformation or working dogs) and decide if the two will serve to truely better the breed, and then you can work with a breed club to make the time and money investment to help ensure the breed standard is met with the pups.
Unless you are in it to make a fast buck and don't care what becomes of the pups, but why seek advise on that?

There is no reason to breed your dog unless it's a proven champion that can improve a blood line.
Take a trip to your local animal shelter to educate yourself about homeless animals before you add to the problem.
Ask the shelter about low/no cost spay/neuter options.

That's a huge question, but I assume you don't want to know the proper way to do it.. Research, quality dogs, health testing, finding homes etc?
I won't tell you how to do it, if you haven't a clue and need to ask. You have some books to read and some research to do first. Cause if you have been doing things properly, you wouldn't need to ask this question here...

If you have to ask here, you do not need to know. If you currently own pets please get them spayed or neutered.
