yes. Sparks is a regular steakhouse, plain and simple, not to put it down, you get good food, you pay for it. But the 21 Club is something special in my opinion. It is more than just the food, it's the atmosphere, it's the history, it's a statement. Ok, every time I've been there I admit I have seen someone famous there, not that that makes a restaurant good, but it does make it interesting. But, I have always enjoyed the downstairs with the strange things hanging from the celing, as I've enjoyed the upstairs with the overly fancy attitude. It is the only place that has a hamburger with a pound of butter as an ingredient, not the best for your arteries, but for a special occassion, who cares. I just love the place, I feel like I've entered a movie set, but it's real, and I'm there having a great meal, and worth every penny. Much more of entertainment and a meal than Sparks

Yes. Great Steak and great wine list. However, "reservations" are a joke expect a wait of up to an hour regardless. Not my favorite steak house in NYC, Keen's is -- great steak and atmosphere not so much of a zoo like Sparks.

I've been to Sparks...Good steaks and Lobster...it's probably better know as the location where the Gambino Crime heads were gunned down on John Gotti's orders.

Paulie Castellano was gunned down in front of Sparks Steakhouse. If you do go get a seat facing the front door.
